Stijn Heldens🔊

Photo of Stijn Heldens next to a miniature lighthouse Welcome to my personal webpage. I am a Dutch computer scientist and Research Software Engineer (RSE) at the Netherlands eScience Center (NLeSC) and a visiting researcher at the Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science (LIACS).

My research is in High-Performance Computing (HPC), with an emphasis on parallel algorithms, distributed systems, programming languages/compilers, and GPU programming.

My passion is accelerating scientific applications and making modern computing hardware more accessible. By collaborating with experts across different scientific fields, I develop state-of-the-art software that applies cutting-edge computer science research to solve real-world scientific problems. This allows scientists to spend less time debugging and concentrate on what they enjoy most: doing science.
