A few weeks ago, one of our awesome team members, Julia Galimidi, had the opportunity to serve as a judge at the Orlando Game Jam 2026, hosted at the Downtown Orlando Library’s Melrose Center. For those unfamiliar, the Orlando Game Jam challenges creators of all disciplines to build an experience in less than 48 hours based on a surprise theme revealed at the start of the event. Events like these are a good reminder of how much creativity and collaboration exists in the Orlando developer community. We spend a lot of time building real-time 3D systems and interactive experiences at Enludio, so it’s always inspiring to see what creators can build when given a creative constraint. We’re proud to have been part of this event and excited to see the continued growth of the Orlando game dev scene. At the start of 2025, we knew we wanted to kick off a new yearly initiative for a hackathon. We planned a HackWeek in September, nine months later here we are! Earlier this month, we held our Enludio HackWeek which gave the whole company time away from the day-to-day projects to provide the space and freedom to experiment. The concept of a hackathon has always been a tradition that we wanted to embrace and we’re so glad that we were able to commit and execute on it. The teams were given a week to rapidly create new interactive experiences. The goal was to produce something tangible, not perfect and the team certainly delivered! We were able to create unique XR gameplay experiences, build fun experiences with a motion platform, tinker with new hardware, experiment with ShapesXR, and push limits with Unity DOTS.
