We’re pleased to collaborate with BATZ GROUP in advancing the future of autonomous mobility. This achievement was only possible through a true ground-up vehicle design. From the earliest stages of development, our teams worked together within the robocar program to create a pedal system fully integrated into a brake-by-wire architecture — not as an adaptation, but as a solution engineered from the ground up for autonomous mobility. That approach enabled a major industry first: the world’s first foldable pedal system in a volume-production vehicle — and still the only one of its kind. In autonomous driving mode, the accelerator and brake pedals retract seamlessly to optimize cabin space. When manual control is required, they deploy automatically, ensuring full functionality and tight integration within the electronic braking system.
