Today I had the honor of speaking at the Uber + Arizona State University graduation celebration for drivers, couriers, and their family members who earned degrees through Uber’s education partnership with Arizona State University. It was one of the most inspiring rooms I’ve been in. Many of these graduates balanced coursework while driving trips, making deliveries, raising families, caring for loved ones, and managing all of life’s responsibilities at the same time. This program started in 2018 after a driver, Randy, shared feedback directly with Dara, our CEO, about the need for more accessible education. Since then, more than 1,000 drivers, couriers, and family members have graduated through the program, which is available to eligible drivers and couriers through Uber Pro, Uber Eats Pro, and ASU Online. Hearing the graduates’ stories today reminded me exactly why programs like this matter. My parents always said: “La educación es algo que nadie te puede quitar.” Education is something no one can take away from you. And it’s true. Education creates possibilities - not just for individuals, but for families and future generations. I’m incredibly proud of what this partnership has made possible, and even more excited for what these graduates do next. Congratulations to the entire Class of 2026 🎓 #Uber #ASU
