This is the convergence that will dominate 2026. I think this is pretty big news. It's not about one or the other. The right tool for the right job, and a tightly integrated ecosystem. Broadband, Cloud and Space. AT&T, AWS, and Amazon Leo Collaborate to Accelerate Modernization of Nation's Connectivity Infrastructure "AT&T will also collaborate with Amazon Leo, Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite network to provide internet connectivity services to AT&T, enabling AT&T to broaden its connectivity capabilities and deliver fixed broadband services to business customers in areas where such services are needed." https://lnkd.in/g5ANbjNu

When I came to AWS, I noticed a problem. The benefits of the cloud seemed obvious to most of our customers: media companies, financial services, hospitality companies - trade fixed cost for variable costs, be able to scale up and scale down, enter into new markets quickly, and create secure, reliable infrastructure. I saw how important the cloud was to innovation at scale - freeing up resources and cost for our customers to concentrate on what was going to keep them cutting edge. But RTB was different. We are sending billions of impressions around the internet with single-digit millisecond requirements where we need to interoperate with multiple partners – Publishers to SSPs, SSPs to DSPs, DSPs to SSPs, and companies providing services in between. We are a community - highly reliant on each other, innovating together, aligning on standards. I sat in a room with Usman Shakeel and Daniel Smith and we discussed - how can we remove barriers to entry of the cloud to anyone who runs RTB workloads, and make it better and easier for those who already do. That was the beginning of AWS RTB Fabric. Why now? We all know it - this is an extremely disruptive time in ad tech. Agents are here. AI is changing brand safety and measurement. Remedies to monopolist practices will be levied and new opportunities are coming. I want the ad tech community to meet this moment - and I want us to be laser focused on using our collective power to build it better this time around. Here's what AWS RTB Fabric can do: make it easy to connect with your partners (just 3 steps). Deliver single-digit millisecond performance (freeing more time up for advanced ad descisioning). Configure built-in modules (to optimize traffic, bid response rates, and bid efficiency with more modules to come). And we'll save you up to 80% compared to standard cloud networking costs. We'll handle the infrastruture, freeing up money and resources for ad tech's next big thing. If you have feedback, thoughts or questions - please message me or email me and we can chat! I'll be talking about this more at Marketecture on Monday, alongside customers Sean K. from Triplelift and Keith Petri from Viant. So so much love to the entire team for making my dream a reality (a small sampling) Usman, Dan, Trevor Dyck Sergio Serra David Dandeneau Philip Potloff Matt Yanchyshyn Gerry Louw Craig Miller Taline Ekmekjian Gaby Ferreres Clark Fredricksen Jonathan Harmms Tim Barnes https://lnkd.in/eBMYRXpH

Just wrapped an incredible (and very high step count) week at AWS re:Invent! The production challenge we set out to solve? Producing for 2 formats at once: a traditional 16:9 broadcast and a mobile-first 9:16 experience. Teams are stretched, budgets are tight, and most workflows still treat vertical video as an afterthought. But what if one small team could natively produce both formats live, in real time, all from the cloud, without sacrificing quality? Here's what our setup looked like: - 4 person crew: EP, TD, graphics producer, host - 3 amazing cloud partners: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Tagboard, and Grabyo - 2 locations: a simple set and a PCR, not located in the same place! - 1 Pelican case of equipment The result? 42 unique live shows over the course of 4 days. A few takeaways worth sharing: Cloud workflows aren't the future, they're the way to scale: behind one of the simplest architecture diagrams I've ever seen at a conference demo, was the world of creative possibilities it opened up that would have required massive on-site infrastructure just a few years ago. Vertical is no longer "extra": if you aren't producing mobile-first content alongside your primary show, you might be missing the biggest audience in the building. Collaboration is the unlock: Tagboard+Grabyo+AWS = each piece solved a part of the puzzle. It only worked because the ecosystem worked together. Oh and next time? Put a coffee machine in the PCR! Huge thank you to AWS for being the connective tissue & engine that powered the whole workflow, and to the team Simone D'Antone, Ali E. Amoli, Colin Cupp, Bryan Samis, Nicole Bomar, and Tiffany Pfremmer for trusting us to do this together. Shoutout to our amazing crew Craig Gorbunoff, Brian Jones, Michael Dixon, and Morgan Werth who brought it all to life (and Justin Peterson behind the amazing graphics!). Can't wait for the next big idea.

We recently announced the GA of Oracle Database@AWS. Customers can now run Oracle Exadata Database Service and Oracle Autonomous Database on dedicated infrastructure on OCI within the AWS U.S. East (N. Virginia) and U.S. West (Oregon) Regions. In addition, to meet growing customer demand, we plan to make the service available in an additional 20 AWS Regions around the world. InfoWorld has the details: https://lnkd.in/gswnvM9z

🌐 AWS just rewrote how the cloud connects to everything. AWS announces two game-changing connectivity offerings: AWS Interconnect - last mile and AWS Interconnect - multicloud—eliminating weeks of complexity for hybrid and multicloud architectures. AWS Interconnect - last mile (Gated Preview) Connect branch offices, data centers, and remote locations to AWS in minutes, not weeks. ✅ Enter location → pick bandwidth → select region → instant connection ⚡ 1 Gbps to 100 Gbps on-demand scaling, zero downtime 🔒 MACsec encryption enabled by default 📍 Available now for US customers (Lumen partnership) AWS Interconnect - multicloud (Preview) Connect AWS to Google Cloud today, Azure later in 2026—purpose-built for multicloud strategies. 🔄 Private, secure, high-speed connections between AWS VPCs and other CSPs ⏱️ Deploy in days instead of weeks or months 🎯 Works with AWS Transit Gateway, Cloud WAN, and VPC 🏗️ Available in 5 AWS Regions Why this matters: For enterprises with hybrid infrastructure or multicloud strategies, this eliminates the DIY networking complexity that previously required months of planning and implementation. Now it's just a few clicks. Request access to last mile: https://lnkd.in/gN6VEqbH 🚀 Day 1 of re:Invent 2025 coverage — daily breakthroughs across compute, storage, database, networking, application development, analytics, and AI/ML. More coming! #AWS #Networking #HybridCloud #Multicloud #DirectConnect #CloudInfrastructure #reInvent
