Projects

  • Windows Home Server

I worked as a community speaker, community advocate and blogger for the Home Server and Media Center teams, I developed a key component for the integration between Windows Home Server and Media Center, which later became a core Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 component.

  • Microsoft Media Center

Testing of hardware Media Center Extenders created by various vendors. I also developed a Windows Home Server Media Center connector, which allowed content to be shared from the Home Server device, which was later integrated to be a core component in Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8.

  • CosmoCom CosmoConnector

Designed, developed and tested a new product for CosmoCom who developed the first software voice over IP gateways (they actually held the patent for the first VOIP Automated Call Distributor). The product allowed data to pass from call center telephone calls to CRM software. This was a first at the time and no integration interfaces existed for products like Siebel CRM at the time. I came up with 'interesting' methods to force data into these applications.

I integrated ‘CosmoConnector’ with all the major CRM systems at the time and added new one’s as they became available such as salesforce.com. I enjoyed working on this product and seeing today this functionality, as part of almost every call center in the world is very satisfying :)

  • NMC Console

Designed and developed NMC Console, a multiple session Telnet and IBM3270 Client, you could have up to 10 sessions open in a single window and tab between them easily, this allowed an easy way for the Network Management Center team to open and keep on top of multiple routing devices at one time when working on multiple points along a WAN connection.
