100%. Pursuit of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) or "superintelligence" is a huge waste of time, and as Suleyman has maintained, is not in service to humanity. There is no way to know if AGI/SI will happen, if ever, and it would take a monstrous amount of work and massive amounts of gigawatt power to even approach that. Ask yourself this question: why would you invest literally billions of dollars and gigawatts of power to simulate the human brain when the human brain only needs 12 watts, less than a small light bulb? What humans can do and AI will never do is to ponder everyday problems and come up with new, innovative solutions (which includes AI) that no one else has delivered up until then. It is the creative spark that is quintessentially and uniquely... human. https://lnkd.in/gMAtH3vP

Google, together with Shopify, Walmart, Visa, and Mastercard, launched the Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP), which is an open-source system that lets AI agents shop online for you. An AI agent finds the product, compares prices, places the order, pays, and even handles returns. You only need to tell your AI what you need. Today, ECS introduced new capabilities that enable customers to deploy ECS Services natively through Linear and Canary traffic shifting patterns. These features complement ECS's existing Blue/Green Deployments by offering fine-grained traffic shifts while supporting lifecycle hooks, bake time, and alarm validations. The new capabilities increase deployment confidence and allow teams to quickly roll back to previous versions, helping them prevent service disruptions.
