Neith Myrick reposted thisNeith Myrick reposted thisLast week, I spent time in Memphis supporting Ting’s partnership with the Memphis Grizzlies! Through the RePresent Everyday program, Ting and the Grizzlies are working with elementary schools across Memphis to support improved attendance, build school pride, and encourage academic success. The program includes classroom visits, pep rallies, and friendly competitions to keep students engaged and excited. As part of this initiative, the winning third grade class from Sharp Elementary attended the Grizzlies vs. Knicks game, and my team had the pleasure of hosting a group of teachers in a VIP suite to recognize all they do for their students. It was a great reminder of why this kind of work is important. And as a bonus, I finally got to experience some Memphis BBQ (totally lived up to the hype!) Ting is proud to be part of the Memphis community, and I’m really glad I get to be part of it, too. Go Grizzlies! 💙

Neith Myrick liked thisNeith Myrick liked thisToday, the Tennessee legislature is expected to take its final vote to redraw Memphis' congressional district. As mayor, I want Memphians to understand what's at stake. • Memphis and its surrounding metro are an integrated economic ecosystem. One airport, one port, one workforce, one region. Redrawing lines that fragment that system creates real governance gaps, duplicated efforts, and missed federal matching funds that Tennessee and Memphis need. • District 9 represents more than 600,000 people. How we're represented in Congress has direct consequences for federal investment, infrastructure, and economic development in our community. • Investments like Kings' Crossing, the nearly $800 million I-55 bridge replacement, and the single largest transportation investment in Tennessee history happened because Memphis had a dedicated voice in Washington, singularly focused on our region's needs. Fragmented representation makes it harder to secure those kinds of wins. • Cities across the country are competing for the same jobs and investment. Governance stability and coherent regional representation are factors companies weigh in site-selection decisions. We'll continue to advocate for representation that reflects how Memphis actually works and what our community actually needs.

Neith Myrick liked thisNeith Myrick liked thisYesterday was a big day. 🚀 At Ting Internet one of our company's H1 goals is: implementing practical AI capability so our people can do less manual work. After a few months of building, Ting's AI Literacy Program officially launched to our People Managers - and I couldn't be more proud of what this represents. But here's the thing- unlike most companies, we didn't start with AI tools. We started with people. Pillar 1 is entirely about human skills — Creativity. Curiosity. Critical Thinking. Decision-Making. Ethics & Judgment. Compassion & Empathy. Relationship-Building. Motivation & Inspiration. The human skills AI cannot and will never replicate. Why start there? The data says it all: 📊 84% of companies haven't established a talent strategy for the AI era yet. Only 16% have. Crazy right?! 📊 52% of employees say job security no longer feels like a given. A scary reality, everyone should feel. 📊 LinkedIn's 2025 research on in-demand skills? 4 out of the top 5 are human strengths. - That’s comforting! Most companies are rushing to implement AI tools before building human capability. Tools before people. We think that's backwards. At Ting, we’re doing it differently. ✅ Starting with human skills ✅ Then adding technical AI capabilities ✅ Building Theory of Mind and Impact Engineering into how we work ✅ Creating Frontier Employees who partner with AI, not compete with it ✅ Developing Frontier Leaders who unlock combined human + AI potential That's what Microsoft and Harvard call a Frontier Employee. Someone who partners with AI to create more value than was previously possible for customers, colleagues, and the business, while continuing to grow as a human contributor. Frontier Employees don't just use AI. They redesign their work around their human strengths. They use judgment to manage risk and quality. They share what's working with their teams. And the impact shows up everywhere. Because AI fluency isn't about knowing a lot of tricky tech. It's about knowing your own work well enough to redesign it. Grateful for our People Team (special shoutout to Kerris Hougardy, MBA for her thought leadership in bringing this to life), and for our people managers who are showing up for this, and for Ting's commitment to doing this the right way. Humans first. Always. 💙 #HumanFirst #FutureOfWork #AI #Leadership #HumanAI

Neith Myrick reacted on thisNeith Myrick reacted on thisYesterday we launched Ting Internet's AI Literacy Program to our people managers, and the structure of it tells you everything about how we think. From what I've seen, most work based AI literacy programs start with tools. Prompts, platforms, use cases. Get everyone fluent in the technology and let the strategy catch up later. But, we started somewhere else. Pillar 1 is built around eight human capabilities. Creativity and curiosity that push AI past its defaults. Critical thinking and judgment that question its outputs and hold steady when it offers a confident answer. Ethics and empathy that keep humans first when decisions get hard. Leadership that uses AI to deepen human connection, and the inspiration to move a team through change with purpose. The work AI cannot do, no matter how good the model gets. Pillar 2 builds the technical fluency on top of it. Prompt crafting, data literacy, tool proficiency. The order matters. Why start with humans - and people managers in particular? The data already tells us where this is going: 📊 70% of AI transformations fail due to people issues. 📊 Manager support is 3x more important to AI adoption than tool quality. 📊 4 of LinkedIn's top 5 most in-demand skills for 2025 are human strengths. We believe that companies racing to roll out AI tools without first building human capability are solving the wrong problem. What makes someone fluent in AI is the ability to see their own work clearly enough to redesign it. Microsoft and Harvard have a name for the people we're trying to develop. They call them "Frontier Employees". People who partner with AI to create more value than was previously possible, while continuing to grow as human contributors. They redesign their own work around their human strengths. They use judgment to manage risk and quality. They share what's working with their teams. You can't redesign work you don't deeply understand. And no AI tool will do that thinking for you. That's why we started with people. Super proud of our People Team for building this - a very special shout out to Raj Parmar, CPHR, SHRM-SCP whose partnership, creativity and drive is invaluable - and prouder still of the Ting managers showing up to learn. Humans first. Always. 💙 If your company is building AI literacy this year, ask yourself what you're putting first. #HumanFirst #FutureOfWork #AI #Leadership #HumanAI

This is one of those moments for me. I’m excited to share that I’ve joined SMC Infrastructure Solutions as Vice President of Revenue. Before looking ahead, I want to take a moment to recognize the team at Luck Grove, which meant a great deal to me both professionally and personally. I had the opportunity to work alongside a group that values relationships, accountability, and doing the work the right way, and I’m grateful for the trust, support, and friendships that came from that experience. #Thankyou. Those relationships don’t end with a transition like this, and I’m confident we will stay connected and find opportunities to work together again in the future. As I considered what was next, it was important for me to find a team where alignment is real, where expectations are high, and where people take pride in how the work gets done. What stood out to me about SMC Infrastructure Solutions is the way the organization brings together people, process, and execution in environments where performance is critical and there is no room for shortcuts. #Culture. That kind of environment brings out the best in teams, and it’s where I believe I can contribute at a high level. My approach has always been consistent. I believe in building strong relationships, staying disciplined in the work, showing up every day with purpose, and helping teams grow in a way that produces meaningful and lasting results. #Relationships. Over time, I’ve seen that when those things are in place, outcomes tend to take care of themselves. I’ve also been fortunate to have people in my corner over the years who have helped shape how I approach both the work and the relationships that come with it. Grateful for the influence and support from people like Matt Price, Stephen R., Skylar Siegfried , MBA, Brian Orlandi, Todd Lamoureaux, Mark Stahl, Shane Ranck, FMP, Stephen Farkas, Clayton Bryant and so many others - with gratitude, my friends. I’m looking forward to reconnecting with partners across the industry, building new relationships, and continuing the work ahead with the SMCiS team. Let’s get to work. The Life of an Independent Director: From Driving to Guiding When you’ve spent years in operations -making calls, driving execution, owning outcomes the transition to an Independent Director can feel like switching from the driver’s seat to the rearview mirror. You're no longer doing, you're now watching, questioning, guiding. And that requires a mindset reset. You’re still expected to bring wisdom and insight but without overstepping boundaries. You need to understand the operations, but not run them. You need to challenge the leadership, but also support them. You are accountable, but not executive. It’s not easy. It’s not passive,It’s not part-time, if done right. An Independent Director is a strange and powerful mix: 👔 Consultant. 📊 Risk Manager. 🎯 Sounding Board. 🛡️ Guardian of Governance. You don’t steer the wheel anymore but you make sure the journey is headed in the right direction, on the right road, at the right speed. That’s leadership without control. Influence without command. And trust without interference. Welcome to the boardroom. #IndependentDirector #CorporateGovernance #BoardLeadership #LeadershipTransition #FromOperatorToAdvisor #StrategicThinking #LifeOnTheBoard #LeadershipEvolution

Dan Aylward is exactly right. Carrier consolidation almost always hits customer experience before anything else. Response times slow, escalation paths blur, and accountability becomes harder to find. For B2B customers, the real pain shows up after the announcement, when service quality declines while everyone waits for the “integration” to settle. This is when organizations feel it most: • Support queues lengthen and ownership becomes unclear • Familiar account teams disappear or rotate • Issues take longer to resolve, even when nothing is technically “broken” • Internal teams spend more time chasing answers than running the business M&A exposes a reality many organizations underestimate: customer experience in telecom does not degrade by accident. It degrades when true operational command and governance are absent. This is exactly where Abilita and BAMComm operate. Unbiased, carrier-agnostic oversight that preserves service quality during periods of disruption by maintaining clear accountability, disciplined escalation, and operational control. B2B organizations with material Verizon or Frontier exposure should be putting proactive governance in place now, before post-deal changes further erode service levels and redefine how support is delivered. Happy to compare notes or talk through what this could mean for your environment. #Abilita #BAMComm #CustomerExperience #TelecomGovernance #CarrierAgnostic #B2BTelecom #VendorManagement #OperationalControl

We’re working with Google to give 911 the eyes they need to better help you when seconds count. Proud to share that Motorola Solutions and Google are collaborating to give Android users the ability to share live video with 911 call handlers within seconds of connecting to the call. The caller can now receive quicker real-time coaching for situations like giving the Heimlich or chest compressions, and your phone’s video can speak for you in situations where it may be unsafe to talk or you simply can’t as you’re in a state of shock. We’re proud to bring this innovation to Android users and the approximately 60% of public safety answering points across North America who use our 911 command center software.
