You need presence. Fly there, bring a local sparring partner to meetings, earn credibility by showing up. 3️⃣ Don’t get fooled by “VP titles” Many VP-level hires can present well, but can’t run discovery or update the CRM. Hire operators, not talkers. 4️⃣ Extreme focus on ICP Growth came when they ditched partner-led sales and went 100% direct. Outbound worked early on, but inbound took over once PMF and timing clicked. 5️⃣ Closing & aftercare matter more than you think US customers expect care — fast replies, small gifts, local time zone support.
