Big goals get set. Kickoff meetings go great. But the incentive model? It stays the same. People notice that fast. BCG recently looked at more than 800 transformations. Turns out, when incentives were tied to personal success, those efforts were 40% more likely to land. Not a coincidence. One company had to delay its rollout after realizing teams were still measured against the old scorecard. Another made early adoption part of the incentive plan so people could actually engage. And a third moved fast, the CHRO updated KPIs before launch to avoid confusion about what “winning” even meant. You don’t need a brand-new system. You need a clear signal.
