Projects

  • Apriori - Salesforce $1 Million Hackathon Finalist

Won 5th place, integrating with Heroku and Force.com at the Salesforce $1 Million Hackathon.

Apriori visualizes relationships between any pair of variables in a Salesforce database, using pure math to rank the best graphs and a crisp, mobile interface to show them off.

I designed the app, helped code the frontend with Ratchet, built the Ruby on Rails backend and integrated it with Force.com.

In the first few hours, the Amazon AWS server I had crashed under the visitor load from Facebook, so I spent a lot of time on scaling the product and learned a lot. Notify made it to finals for the BASES Product Showcase competition, and I wrote a blog post on it here: http://alexatallah.com/post/99387821382/notify-an-automatic-personal-assistant-for-email
