Byron Miller MSPM, MBA, ITIL reposted thisByron Miller MSPM, MBA, ITIL reposted thisThere is a divine timing to leadership and life that no person can obstruct. We often spend our careers worrying about the closed doors, the critics in the shadows, or the obstacles placed in our path by those who don’t want to see us rise. But there is a profound peace in realizing that when a higher purpose decides to bless your journey, things will align in ways that defy human logic. Your breakthrough doesn't depend on the permission of others. When it is your time to lead, the right doors will swing open, the right people will appear, and the very challenges meant to stop you will become the stepping stones to your success. This isn't just about professional growth; it’s about a spiritual alignment that honors your integrity and your heart. No matter what others try to do, your purpose is protected. As you navigate this new era of leadership, trust that your hard work and faith are being seen. Keep shining, keep serving, and watch as the pieces fall into place. Are you ready to step into your purpose with confidence? Align your team with the values of trust, empathy, and visionary leadership. Byron Miller MSPM, MBA, ITIL reposted thisByron Miller MSPM, MBA, ITIL reposted thisMany people think leadership means doing more work. Producing more results. Delivering more output. But leadership changes the game. Your success is no longer about what you produce. It becomes about what your team produces. Because the moment you become a leader. Your real job changes. You stop being the main performer. You start becoming the person who lifts others. Here is what great leadership really looks like. 1️⃣ Your success becomes your team’s success → A strong leader celebrates team wins, not just personal ones. 2️⃣ Growth becomes your real KPI → The best leaders focus on helping people improve. 3️⃣ Support becomes your strength → Teams perform better when they feel backed by their leader. 4️⃣ Teaching becomes part of the job → Great leaders share knowledge so others can move faster. 5️⃣ Impact multiplies through people → When your team grows, your influence grows with them. Because leadership is not about standing in front. It is about lifting people around you. And when your team succeeds. That becomes your biggest achievement. What do you think is the real job of a leader today?

Byron Miller MSPM, MBA, ITIL reposted thisLast Week, I had the opportunity to apply what I’ve been learning in my finance class in a real-world setting at McCoy Federal Credit Union. Alongside my classmates, I assisted members with preparing and filing their taxes. This experience not only strengthened my understanding of tax concepts, but also allowed me to develop my communication and problem-solving skills while helping others navigate an important financial process. I’m grateful for the chance to gain hands-on experience and give back to the community at the same time. Looking forward to continuing to grow both academically and professionally through opportunities like this! #Finance #LearningByDoing #CommunityImpact #FinancialLiteracy #ProfessionalGrowthByron Miller MSPM, MBA, ITIL reposted thisOver the past decade, McCoy’s partnership with Boone High School has been both meaningful and impactful, from sponsoring the school’s athletic program to collaborating with students through our internship program. This week, we were proud to come together for a special event in support of McCoy members. Through the McCoy Cares Foundation, students from Boone High School’s Finance Magnet Program visited our Michigan Branch to prepare free basic tax returns for members. The students are IRS-certified through Heart of Florida United Way’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA), and each return was reviewed by their instructor prior to filing. Members received reliable, no-cost tax help, while students gained valuable, hands-on experience in tax preparation to strengthen their financial literacy – a true example of People Helping People.

Byron Miller MSPM, MBA, ITIL reposted thisByron Miller MSPM, MBA, ITIL reposted thisUnpopular opinion: Your best employees didn't suddenly become lazy. You just stopped being worth the effort. I once watched a brilliant employee go from staying late every Friday to quietly job hunting in under 6 months. Nothing dramatic happened. No blowout. No bad review. His manager JUST stopped noticing him. Ideas went unacknowledged. Concerns went unheard. He started to feel like a RESOURCE, not a person. So he stopped caring. Slowly. Then completely. Here's what most leaders never figure out: People don't quit bad companies. They quit managers who made them feel invisible. Effort isn't lost randomly. It's withdrawn, one small moment at a time: → The idea you dismissed without listening → The problem they flagged and you forgot → The win you didn't bother to celebrate You can't schedule engagement into a calendar or mandate it in a policy doc. Trust is earned in the small moments. So is its absence. By the time someone stops trying, they've already decided to leave. The exit interview is just paperwork. The best leaders I've met aren't the loudest in the room. They're the ones who remember: your name, your idea from three weeks ago, the thing you were worried about. That's not soft skill stuff. That's a retention strategy. If you're a manager right now, who on your team are you quietly losing? Tag them before it's too late. Or better yet, just check in today. Byron Miller MSPM, MBA, ITIL reacted on thisByron Miller MSPM, MBA, ITIL reacted on thisToday, my daughter, Alyssa Parker, was impacted by the recent workforce reductions at KPMG, part of the broader advisory layoffs announced this week. Like many parents, it is difficult to watch someone you love experience a moment like this, especially when you know the level of commitment, discipline, and heart they bring to their work. She graduated in the top 1% of her class from University of Central Florida and has built a strong foundation in finance and accounting early in her career. More importantly, she is thoughtful, resilient, analytical, and someone who genuinely cares about doing great work and supporting the people around her. She is now exploring new opportunities in finance or accounting, ideally in remote or flexible environments. If anyone in my network is aware of opportunities, or knows organizations looking for emerging talent with strong technical capability and an incredible work ethic, I would deeply appreciate any introductions or connections. Moments like these are reminders that careers are journeys, not straight lines. Sometimes unexpected transitions simply create space for the next right opportunity. Thank you in advance for any support.

What stood out most was not simply the championships, the records, or the longevity. It was the deeper story behind them: discipline, preparation, resilience, competitive fire, and an unwavering commitment to growth. His career was not the story of a top-rated prospect taking the expected path to greatness. It was a testament to what happens when talent is matched by relentless work ethic, belief, and perseverance. His message was both motivational and practical — a powerful reminder that excellence is built long before the spotlight arrives. It was truly an honor and a privilege to hear him reflect on his journey and the hallmarks of sustained success. And I’ll admit… by the time he finished, I was ready to suit up and take a few snaps myself. Absolutely amazing experience.

It was amazing to see such a well‑attended event bringing together so many community‑focused business owners for a great cause. Proud that Bank of the Sierra was a sponsor and able to attend. The charity donations presented to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.) and the Wounded Heroes Fund made the day even more meaningful. A great way to have fun, catch up with familiar faces, meet new ones, and give back to organizations doing incredible work in our community. Healthcare & Software Are at a Breaking Point — Skysoft Has the Cure The year is 2025, and the convergence of healthcare and software is facing unprecedented challenges: In Healthcare: • Cybersecurity Threats: The healthcare industry is especially susceptible to cyberattacks due to the volume of personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI) that hospitals and health systems store. Research has shown that there were more than 180 confirmed ransomware attacks against healthcare providers in 2024, with the average ransom paid of about $900,000. • Workforce Shortages: The healthcare industry faces a significant shortage of qualified professionals to deliver care. The Association of American Medical Colleges has projected a total shortage of between 37,800 and 124,000 physicians by 2034. • Data Management Challenges: Hospitals are sitting on billions of data points, including vitals, labs, notes, imaging, and outcomes, but the real challenge is turning that data into actionable insights that actually fit within a live clinical workflow. In Software Development: • Security and AI Reliability: The sixth annual Reveal 2025 Top Software Development Challenges survey from Infragistics has revealed a pressing concern for tech leaders: the urgency of addressing digital trust as a crucial challenge in software development for 2025. With security (51%), AI code reliability (45%), and data privacy (41%) also identified as significant hurdles, the need to tackle these issues is more immediate than ever. • Legacy Systems Becoming Liabilities: Sridhar Vembu, founder of the SaaS company Zoho, has raised concerns about the impact of generative artificial intelligence on modern software development. In a series of social media posts, he suggested that large, legacy codebases—once considered valuable assets—could become liabilities in the evolving landscape of AI-driven development. • Deployment Delays: A recent study by Gearset highlights significant delays in UK software deployments, with over 80% of businesses affected and an average delay of 3.8 months. These setbacks are costing organizations approximately £107,000 annually. Skysoft’s Solutions: • Advanced Cybersecurity: Implementing robust security measures to protect sensitive health data and ensure compliance with regulations. • AI-Driven Development: Leveraging artificial intelligence to modernize legacy systems, enhance code reliability, and streamline deployment processes. • Integrated Data Management: Transforming unstructured data into actionable insights, improving patient outcomes and operational efficiency. The Time to Act is Now: Delaying the adoption of advanced, secure, and efficient systems is no longer an option. The risks are too great, and the solutions are within reach. https://lnkd.in/eBC8wJba #HealthcareInnovation #CyberSecurity #AIinHealthcare #SoftwareDevelopment #SkySoftSolutions
