I helped this organization by recruiting technical women, from under-represented minority groups, to participate in a group panel discussion at Mission High School in San Francisco in November 2015. We shared our backgrounds and journeys to careers in tech and also heard about challenges and aspirations from the students themselves. It was a very enriching experience for all of us and we hope to continue with more of these events in 2016.

This is the event blog: http://www.igniteworldwide.org/news/blog-category/event/san-francisco-mission-high-school-panel-discussion-11-20-15

With my VMware service learning hours here and for other charitable organizations, I was able to earn $1000 to donate to this organization as well.

We also use LLMs to improve efficiency of our manual fraud reviews, reducing cognitive load associated with data collection and analysis. I also manage payments hijacking mitigations, where I created a zero to 1 program in this area, addressing novel attacks such as cookie theft (session) hijacking and most recently, scoping hijacking mitigations for agentic shopping & commerce.

  • Volunteer Project - Mission High School in San Francisco for IGNITE Worldwide

This organization does great work to encourage young women to pursue careers in technology. I helped them with an event at Mission High School in San Francisco, by recruiting technical women from VMware to participate in a panel discussion with the students.

We shared our own journeys to careers in tech and they shared their challenges and aspirations as well. It was an all around great experience and I'm happy that IGNITE will continue the momentum with these girls.

  • 52 Women Making an Impact in Product Management

    Product Management Festival

An independent organization listed me, along with many other impressive technical women, as one of 52 women making an impact in product management. I was not interviewed for this honor but they did cite the following:

"With a bachelor degree from MIT and a master from Columbia University, Gargi (Mitra) Keeling started her career in 2000 as a product manager for Sun and today she is leading the product management of the biggest virtualization provider out there: vmware."
