This is a large part of why I will argue for some time to come that LLM-based systems like ChatGPT are NOT TO BE TRUSTED when asking them about things in specific (and highly-technical) contexts. Medicine, software, building engineering, any of these, just say no. Even IF ChatGPT could get the full context (which an amateur/lay person would not know how to provide), it will still make crucial mistakes that a professional would not. This isn't just an indictment of LLMs, though; WebMD had the same problem, and we frankly never got to a point where it was remedied within WebMD. MYCIN, one of the earliest medical expert systems, ran into much the same difficulty. Will there come a time when a medically-trained system will be able to examine ALL your pertinent medical data and suggest a diagnosis better than that of a human MD? Possible. Even arguable. But will the software be "better" than a human? Doubtful--humans are capable of leaps of logic and intuitive jumps that a machine, no matter how sophisticated, will likely never be able to do. Which is probably a good thing! We invented computers to do certain things better than humans can do, so that humans can do what they do best. Let's never forget that.

A government threatening to invoke a "Defense Production Act" (during peace time) against a software company that simply doesn't want you to use their product for mass surveillance and autonomous murder is ... very telling about which adjectives should be applied to your regime. That's been done before in the previous iteration of my own country. I will leave it at that. We all really need to learn to like ethics slightly more, and profits slightly less.
