Looking forward to working with Sean Glass as he joins our board. And a thank you to Rajit Malhotra for backing us early and continuing to support our mission. The idea for Truentity Health came from a personal experience my dad had during an emergency room visit. It exposed how often care breaks down between visits, especially for patients managing multiple chronic conditions. Over the last few years, I’ve spent time with pharmacy owners across the country. Many are multi-generational. They know their patients and their communities. They care deeply. What’s been missing isn’t intent. It’s infrastructure. I’ve always had a bias toward the underdog. In this case, it’s the patients who fall through the care gap, especially in rural areas, and the pharmacies that serve them every day. This round lets us keep going. Expand the network, build distribution, and keep improving the system so it actually works for the people it’s supposed to serve. Gene Kim liked thisGene Kim liked this2026 marks the 30th Year of my career in High Tech This photo was taken in 1999 when I received the President’s Award at BEA Systems and I looked so happy! I was early in my career, and often the only woman in product, operations or sales meetings. The culture was different then. Behaviors tolerated in those days wouldn’t be tolerated now — and that’s real progress. My smile shows how happy I was that night, but the road was rough to get there. My son was 4 years old when I landed my first tech job at BEA Systems and by the time this picture was taken, I was a single parent. Trying to balance the needs of a high-growth tech role, managing a team, all while raising a child was exhausting. I learned to stand my ground when tested and how to project confidence without raising my voice. But I was never truly alone. There were extraordinary women beside me — peers, sellers, leaders — who fought their own battles and still found ways to hold each other up. Sometimes it was a public endorsement. Sometimes it was a quiet conversation after a hard meeting. Sometimes it was just eye contact across the table that said, “I’ve got you.” We didn’t just build careers. We helped shift the culture. International Women’s Day is March 8th and I want to acknowledge the women who were in those rooms — pushing, enduring, encouraging, and refusing to shrink. If you were one of those women in high tech companies in the 1990s and 2000s — thank you. And to everyone reading this: Tag a woman who made a difference in your career. A mentor. A peer. A sponsor. Someone who let you vent without fear of consequence because they understood. Someone who helped you stay in the room. Gene Kim liked thisGene Kim liked thisI was wrong about OpenAI. Last year, I was quite negative on their ability to maintain a model lead. I thought commoditization would erode their advantage, and in some ways it did: Anthropic and Google narrowed the gap, open‑source models spread, and their technical advantage did not fully hold. But I missed the bigger picture: I underestimated their product instincts. ChatGPT became how millions interact with the web. More importantly, I overlooked the power of narrative as strategy. OpenAI's growth reveals how story, capital, and capability form a self-reinforcing flywheel: story → capital → capability → stronger story. The narrative loop: They tell progressively larger stories from "useful assistant" to "AGI" to "superintelligence." Each story expands the frame. The capital loop: Bigger stories unlock bigger checks. The most expansive visions draw the most money. The capability loop: Capital buys compute, talent, and research. Significant gains validate the story, attract more capital, and power the next leap. The shift to superintelligence did exactly what strong narratives do in tech cycles: it expanded the horizon and kept urgency and investment high, accelerating the flywheel. Right now, OpenAI's loops are remarkably in sync. Ambitious storytelling grounded in capability gains. Capital flowing. Product improving. Whether they can sustain this remains a question, but underestimating them again would be my second mistake.

2025 has been pretty rocky, CFOs have been quite pessimistic on meeting growth estimates. They focused on downside case scenarios, trimming investment plans accordingly. As we are approaching Q4, how are the rest of 2025 and 2026 looking? I came across a July survey of 260 CFOs performed by Grant Thornton. 46% of CFOs said they’re pessimistic about the U.S. economy over the next six months. The sentiment is pretty dim and some compare it to covid-level response. There is an ironic silver lining here - today’s concerns around tariffs and other factors could be more acute than covid, however, they are also more quantifiable, which makes them more manageable and "forecastable". What about 2026? My fellow CFOs are quite positive with their 2026 outlook. 2026 revenue forecasts haven’t budged with the average growth estimate at 7.1% (median at 5.0%). It was encouraging to see a positive leading indicator - a reported increase in spend on sales and marketing, as well as customer acquisition and retention in general. It appears that finance leaders expect the economy to recover from volatility (or get used to it) and intend to capture delayed demand. Well, amen to that. I looked at all the accounting technology rounds in the past 10 round-ups to figure out which VCs are the most active in the space. https://lnkd.in/gH4_Hc62 It's only about 5 months' worth of *announced* data. It'd be great to see where this sits 5 months from here! In the past 5 months, only 3 VCs have done more than 1 seed investment in accounting tech - including Seguin Ventures! We're bullish on this and a few other areas in AI!

Most CFOs play defense. The top 1% play offense. Here’s how to get ahead of 99% of CFOs: 1. Act like a Chief Growth Officer Ruth Porat didn’t just protect Alphabet’s margin. She drove $5B+ acquisitions, backed AI bets, and turned finance into a growth engine. Know your top 3 revenue levers. Shape where the company bets next. 2. Build finance like a product Amy Hood rebuilt Microsoft’s finance stack with automation, ML, and live data. The systems worked so well they started selling them externally. Stop building decks. Start building tools that scale. Ask yourself: would anyone pay to use my finance stack? 3. Run board meetings as strategy sessions Weak CFOs recap the past. Strong CFOs test the future. Kelly Kramer gave Cisco’s board scenarios, cash tradeoffs, and three clear options. Never walk in with one plan. Use the boardroom to shape decisions, not just report numbers. TL;DR Lead strategy. Scale decisions. Make finance impossible to ignore.
