The end of human drivers? Tried Tesla Robotaxi in the Bay Area for the first time, 8.8 miles from Meta SF to Daly City station for $18. Unlike Waymo, Tesla’s Robotaxi can take the freeway. The ride was smooth, and the decision-making felt far closer to human than “bot-like.” What surprised me most: it’s just a regular Model Y. With the built-in rear screen, any Tesla could potentially be activated as a Robotaxi. That’s scalability at an entirely different level. Waymo might have an early lead, but Tesla’s vision-only approach gives it massive coverage and faster rollout potential. If this scales, Uber, Lyft, and even car ownership itself could be disrupted faster than expected. This is exactly why I quit my job to go all-in on ElasticDash We’re entering a new industrial revolution, the real question is: will you shape it, or be forced to adapt?

#TSLA officially begins its (long overdue) robotaxi push. Joins Waymo, Zoox, Uber, Aurora, others in very competitive self-driving industry. But big enough market for multiple winners. Here’s how I see it shaking out. Three verticals. Three monopolies. - Waymo + Uber dominate ridesharing. - Tesla dominates passenger cars. - Aurora dominates freight. Waymo is up to 250,000 rides/week and rapidly scaling. Safety data is excellent. Consumer feedback is excellent. Tech stack is excellent. They have a such a huge first mover advantage that’s it tough to see them losing here. Big partner is Uber. #GOOG #UBER Tesla is the only U.S. automaker with cars on the roads that can actually reasonably drive themselves. A lot of ppl own these cars already and with a few software updates, those cars become self driving. Huge first mover adv. Plus lower cost model w/o LiDAR. #TSLA Others ditched autonomous trucking. Aurora didn’t. And now, they’re crushing it. Autonomous trucks on freeways in Texas. Great team. Great tech. Great partnerships. Lots of funding. This is your autonomous freight winner #AUR I love AV stocks as one of the next big waves of AI alongside inferencing, robotics, agents, and more. Lots of money to be made in the AV Boom. And it’s moving full steam ahead right now!

🚦 SF speed cams start ticketing today. Do you know where they are? AVs that don't comply aren't immune like you, but enforcement differences exist. Starting now, San Francisco’s 33 automated speed-safety cameras jump from warnings to $50-$500 tickets for anyone caught 11 mph over the limit. Human drivers pay the fine, but autonomous vehicles face a different playbook. Enforcers can file an AV "Notice of Non-compliance." If marked “priority,” the manufacturer must alert the DMV within 24 hours. Regulators may then shrink fleet size, limit service hours, or geofence operations until issues are fixed. Fresh and context-aware maps help AVs accurately understand speed limits and play an important role in ensuring safe, predictable, and compliant operation.
