It feels like a large volume of the "work" in healthcare supply chain departments is just trying to clear the deck of invoice exceptions. Usually, that means a lot of manual triage and a resolution cycle that can drag on for months or more. Baptist Health South Florida took a look at that 60-day+ average and decided to automate away the noise instead of accepting the "invisible leakage" problem with invoice match exceptions. The results are pretty impressive: - They cut that 60-day resolution window down to just 10 days. - Turned invoice exceptions into multi millions of dollars in savings. - Most importantly, they actually freed up their team to focus on strategy instead of chasing data.
