𝐖𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐀𝐈 𝐢𝐧 𝐠𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤? You should hear from Nir Yanovsky Dagan from מערך הדיגיטל הלאומי - Israel National Digital Agency! I had the privilege of attending his talk last week at #DataTLV — and it was one of the most inspiring sessions of the conference. 🔹 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐭 — it should be shared and combined smartly and responsibly. The government holds massive data resources. If left unused, we're missing endless opportunities to improve life for Israeli citizens. 🔹 𝐀𝐈 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐝𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐬 — we all want to spend time on meaningful work. That includes public sector workers. Part of our job is to define what the "dishes" are in government operations — and delegate those to AI. 🔹 𝐀𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐞 𝐚 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐲 — bureaucracy was meant to provide fairness and expertise. But it’s often slow, confusing, and opaque. AI gives us a chance to keep the good — while removing bottlenecks, reducing paperwork, and saving time and resources. 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮, 𝐍𝐢𝐫, 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐚 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐮𝐥, 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧! And thank you to the DataTLV team for an awesome conference. 𝐂𝐚𝐧’𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫!

Bill Gates wrote in ״The Road Ahead"(1995): “We overestimate what will happen in two years and underestimate what will happen in ten.” But in times of rapid change - like now with AI - could the opposite be true? Maybe we’re underestimating the next two years and overestimating how long deep change will really take. What felt like science fiction just months ago is now part of our daily tools. This reality is kicking my learning muscles into gear. It’s a call to stay curious, adapt fast, and expect the unexpected.

Yesterday, Yaniv Naor and I gave a lecture at Reichman University on Kubernetes, in Danny Yellin’s Cloud Computing course. I’ve worked with Kubernetes for ~8 years, so I expected zero surprises. Instead, the students surprised me, not with technical questions, but with career questions: “How do we build a future-proof career when AI is changing everything?” I usually push my teams to use AI as much as possible. But to the students I said: Master Kubernetes first. Get a deep understanding. Then use AI. Why? Without fundamentals, you can’t validate what AI gives you. You risk shipping solutions that “sound right” but fail in production. Would you give the same advice?
