A few years ago, I went through Leadership North Houston thinking it would expand my network. It did. But what surprised me was how much it sharpened my understanding of responsibility. Leadership sounds good in theory. In practice, it means sitting in rooms where decisions carry weight and learning to own them fully. That experience changed how I show up in business. It deepened how I think about alignment, ownership, and the ripple effect of unclear direction, whether that is in a community organization or inside a growing company. Now serving on the Leadership North Houston Alumni Board, I get to watch new classes step into that same growth. Applications are open for the next cohort.
