  • What moment can reshape a career? Clinique, a Software Engineer in the United States, still remembers the exact second a critical service went live after days of cross‑time‑zone teamwork. At IBM she built backend systems in Java and .NET and added full‑stack work with React, tackling a massive modernization effort that pushed her to master APIs, cloud services and enterprise design faster than she imagined. When a tight deadline loomed on another project, she and offshore teammates worked together, untangling complex problems. Seeing the service run flawlessly in production taught her the power of clear communication, trust across borders and calm under pressure. Those IBM lessons travel with her. Today she leads modernization initiatives, expands into full‑stack and cloud engineering, and builds side projects to stay curious. She is proud of the growth at every step and the impact she creates in every environment. Build what matters like an IBMer. 🚀 Want to stay connected with other IBM Alumni as well? • What does it take to modernize classrooms across an entire country? For Ali, it started with a vision for simpler, safer, and smarter technology in education. At IBM, he led Security and Endpoint Modernization for Canada’s K‑12 sector 🇨🇦, often serving as the single point of design and delivery. His most defining work was architecting a national, cloud‑based framework using Microsoft Intune and Autopilot for more than 40 school districts and boards. A unified system that now protects and manages over half a million devices. What made it unforgettable was the collaboration behind it. 🤝 Ali worked hand‑in‑hand with educators and administrators, designing solutions that elevated both security and learning. Those lessons continue to shape his leadership today as he partners with industry leaders, mentors emerging IT talent, and advances cloud‑driven modernization across campuses and workplaces. Continuous learning, ethical innovation and user‑centric design are the values that guide his work. And the proudest moment for Ali? Knowing his IBM foundation helped set a new national standard for K‑12 technology, making schools safer and more connected for students and teachers across Canada. Drive impact at scale like an IBMer. 🚀 Want to stay connected with other IBM Alumni as well? Join our IBM Alumni Talent Network: https://ibm.co/6043EKCsz #IBMAlumni #LikeanIBMer

  • 🚀 IBM back in Space – Do you remember IBM's first engagement in a NASA mission? That was back - 57 years ago - in July 1969 when the Apollo 11 mission started its mission to the moon. Read more about it here: https://ibm.co/6045EKodX And today in 2026? See how IBM contributes with latest technology and expertise at the NASA Artemis II mission. IBM Power servers ran at the core of Artemis II's Launch Control System at NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Kennedy Space Center (https://ibm.co/6046EKodk). 🚀 The system processed and monitored hundreds of thousands of data points tied to telemetry, sensors, and overall system health in the rocket and spacecraft. From early testing, through the final T‑10 countdown, IBM Power helped engineers quickly identify any data that moved outside expected ranges. That insight enabled confident decisions and helped keep launch activities moving forward. Image source: NASA

  • It started with a single challenge and a room full of possibility. 🎯 At the IBM TechXchange watsonx hackathon, Shohail built TaxGenie, an AI solution powered by Watson Discovery, watsonx Orchestrate, and a fine‑tuned Granite model. Three days later, he placed 5th out of more than 4,200 participants and stepped onto a much bigger stage. 🌍🤖 But the real catalyst was mentorship. Leaders like Rene Bostic and Dr. Jani Byrne Saliga saw his potential and invested in it, giving him the confidence to guide sustainability workshops, speak to thousands, and grow into a leader who lifts others with him. Their trust didn’t just shape his work, it shaped who he became. 🎤✨ Today, Shohail brings IBM’s THINK mindset into climate AI, global youth diplomacy, and community leadership, proving that empowered people can create a ripple effect far beyond one moment, one project, or one company. 💙 Catalyze change like an IBMer. 🚀 Want to be a proud IBM alumnus, too? • After winning an IBM‑hosted hackathon, joining IBM France was a clear ambition for Maureen Allanic. When online applications didn’t land, she asked her university secretary to hand‑deliver her CV to IBM recruiters. That persistence paid off - two offers, one dream realized. 💡 Her time as a Junior IT Consultant at IBM Marseille was a creative and unforgettable experience. They organized hackathons, launched intrapreneurship initiatives, advised logistics clients, explored M&A workshops, and Maureen even built her first robot with TJbot. 🤖 The project that shaped her most was 'IBM Green Pallet' – an eco‑friendly supply‑chain solution that allowed her to align technical skills with something she truly cares about. “It was challenging, impactful, and deeply fulfilling, and it taught me how innovation, teamwork, and purpose intersect.", she says. 🌱♻️ Beyond just work, she also filled her lunchtimes with dance classes 💃, Friday after‑work gatherings, and a genuinely supportive team who created an environment where you could grow – professionally and personally. Since then, she's applied discipline, strategy, and adaptability as Co‑founder of Ouispeak, building communication solutions, and as an Emerging Technologies Platform Specialist at the ESA European Space Agency, where innovation takes on a whole new orbit. 🚀 🚀 Want to stay connected with other IBM Alumni as well? 💙 Join our IBM Alumni Talent Network: https://ibm.co/6046EJSde #IBMAlumni #LikeanIBMer

  • What if what truly moves the needle is the work happening behind the scenes? 🔍 Gina, now an IBM Alumni who worked as a Senior Software Engineer and L3 Technical Leader in China, built her career in the engine room of z/OS — where precision matters and failure isn’t an option. She worked on Language Environment, the foundation that keeps COBOL, C/C++, Java, Python and more running seamlessly across decades of systems. It’s the kind of work few people see, but everything depends on it. ⚙️ Her favorite moments came from times spent in Level 3 support. When critical issues hit and trust was on the line, Gina stepped in, solving complex problems that kept customers running. 🚨 At IBM, during her almost 15-year tenure, she grew as both an engineer and a leader, surrounded by a culture of support and high standards. After that, she took time to reflect and keep learning; carrying that mindset forward. When asked about her proudest moment, she says it's “being an IBMer.” 💙 🚀 Want to stay connected with other IBM Alumni as well? Join our IBM Alumni Talent Network: https://ibm.co/6043EJ8Ix
