As part of the third and final seminar from the MSCA Postdoctoral Project Connecting Resonances, organised by project leader Budhaditya Chattopadhyay, there will be an evening of performances at BEK.

This text emerges from BEKs symposium The Only Lasting Truth is Change: Voice, Seed, Brutality (21–23 November 2025, Bergen), and reflects the collaborative project Gneiss by Touki and Rehana Zaman. Developed as part of an ongoing film project commissioned by BEK, the work brings together sound, moving image, and discussion in response to the question: What is change?

We are resharing a selection of podcasts from Radio Web MACBA co-produces with BEK, originally produced as part of the Son[i]a series, featuring artists who participated in BEK’s symposium programme in Bergen in 2025: Ameneh Solati, Rehana Zaman and Carol Stampone. These conversations extend themes explored during the symposium, including collective practices, ecological thinking, and situated forms of knowledge.

Interrupted Futures is an installation by Ramallah-based artist Shuruq Harb. Centered on the film Al-Mashrou’, the work brings a site in Palestine into dialogue with the local context of Oslo. Earth-toned surfaces reference the palette of Palestine, while swings suspended from the ceiling destabilize the viewer’s physical and perceptual vantage point.

On 2 – 3 May Reveil will make its thirteenth annual day-long loop of earth, travelling west on live audio feeds sent in by streamers around sunrise. Reveil brings us together at a distance around its ephemeral streams from rural and urban places – birds, amphibians, weather and
sounds we cannot identify.
