#Velocity #ClaroDominicana #AILeadership

Maria FG (Fernandez Guajardo) shared thisTeamwork is getting weird. AI is pushing everyone to do more, faster. Engineers are doing design work, designers are doing PM work, PMs are shipping code, everyone is vibecoding and the senior person who spent fifteen years sharpening one specific craft is quietly wondering if it gets replaced next quarter — by an agent, by a coworker who just learned to do it, or by slowly fading out. Nobody's saying it out loud, but everyone's feeling it. Yesterday in San Francisco, I led a session for the leadership team at Google Android and Business Communications, the team behind products that billions of people use every day. They are obsessed (in the best way) with being a high-performing team, which is exactly why they wanted to talk about this new functionless world: how do you turn the uncertainty and fear of this moment into a team that keeps shipping its best work? The room was engaged the whole way. The questions were real, vulnerable — the kind a team only asks when they already trust each other. By the end, we weren't talking about frameworks anymore; we were talking about what they'd take into day two and start trying with their own teams. 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 "𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲" 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺𝘀. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆'𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺. You don't get to ship faster, you don't get to invent more, you don't get to be the team that everyone else is trying to catch up to — until you rewire how your team actually works together for this new reality of AI. "𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀" 𝗶𝘀 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀: 𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺. Teamwork is the foundation underneath all of it, not a nice layer on top. Enormous thanks to Elmar Weber for the trust, and to Ram Jandhyala and Alex A. for making it happen. If your team is in a season of change — reorgs, AI, growth, all of it at once — and you want them to keep doing their best work while the ground moves under them, I'd love to talk. Happy to share what I'd build for your offsite — this is the work I love most. Home base is the US, with stops in Europe in June and November, and a few swings through Latin America between July and October. If your offsite lands in any of those windows, let's find time. P.S.: I resigned from Google a year ago. Walking back in yesterday and having these conversations reminded me why I'm still hopelessly fond of Googlers. #Leadership #KeynoteSpeaker #AI #HighPerformingTeams

Maria FG (Fernandez Guajardo) shared this𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻? I asked that question at 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁'𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿: 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻, 𝗔𝗜 & 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 event. Hands. Everywhere. Every. Single. Time. My message is embrace 𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘺. In your career, in your life, in *most* decisions you make. Move with intention and speed. And it's incredible how this resonates as much today as it did the first time I said it. In the age of AI, constant learning, flexibility, and adaptability aren't optional. They're the game. And the people who were told they move too fast, take on too much, can't sit still? We were built for this moment! 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. To every person who came up to me afterward and said "I felt seen" or "You gave me permission to be myself": that is exactly why I do this. You don't need anyone's permission. But if hearing it out loud is what unlocks something in you, I'll say it as many times as it takes. Huge shoutout to Anne Kennedy, Shaili Desai, and Cheri Devlin and Microsoft for founding and hosting this wonderful event and Johnny Halife and the entire Southworks team for their support. And to my fellow speakers and panelists Aparna Chennapragada, Susan De La Vega, Liz Kokoska, Stephanie Mosticchio and the always amazing Aastha Gupta: I came to share but left having learned just as much from all of you. Inspired and energized. Move fast. Lift each other up. Never apologize for your ambition. If you'd like to watch the talk, the link is in the comments. #WomenInLeadership #AI #BetterTogether #Microsoft #EmbraceVelocity

Maria FG (Fernandez Guajardo) shared thisI used to think the best part of being on stage was the moment itself. The energy, the connection with the room, the feeling that something landed. Ehhh ... I was wrong. The best part is what comes after. A leader who tells me they stopped waiting for the perfect plan and just started. A framework that a team is still using few months later. A phrase that became shorthand inside a company. A story that got retold in a meeting I wasn't in. I've been gathering feedback from people I've worked with over the years, as a leader inside companies like Google and Meta, and now as a speaker. Swipe through to read some of what they've shared. These words keep me going!

Maria FG (Fernandez Guajardo) shared thisEl miércoles vuelvo a casa!

Maria FG (Fernandez Guajardo) shared thisThis week I spoke at the UNOi México Conferencia de Directores in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. UNOi, created by Santillana Latinoamérica, works with schools through an integrated, digital, student-centered model. Hundreds of school directors gathered to discuss “Plenitud Humana + AI.” We are no longer discussing why AI is important or if it is going to be used by students or educators, now we talk about how we get on this wave. AI is moving at startup speed, not academic speed. You cannot wait for perfect policy, full clarity, or consensus. By the time you have it, the landscape has shifted. I encouraged them to experiment early. Run pilots. Let teachers try. Let students build. Short cycles. Clear direction. Velocity is speed with purpose. The UNOi team presented their new AI-based programs for personalized learning. Thoughtfully built. Practical. Safe. Grounded. It was inspiring to see technology applied with care and intention. Students, teachers and parents are already using AI. The question is whether schools will lead that change and guide it or react to it. Grateful to have shared the stage with Alejandro Piscitelli, Lauren Ducrey, Andrea Iorio, Anna Lagos, Marco Fisbhen, Manuel Meza Cuervo, Jose Carlos Dosal , and Ernesto Nuñez and Leo Kourchenko. And thank you to Adrian Peña, Rodrigo Cosio, Janett Patrinos, for the invitation to this very inspiring and important event.

Maria FG (Fernandez Guajardo) liked thisMaria FG (Fernandez Guajardo) liked thisThree years. A lot of building, learning, and moments I won’t forget. When I joined TikTok, gaming wasn’t an established vertical on the platform. But the signal was clear. Gaming was shaping culture across entertainment, music, sports, and lifestyle. There was a big overlap between the TikTok audience and gaming fans, yet there wasn’t a clear strategy for how to convert on that. My job was to drive growth by helping companies understand why they needed to be on the platform and how to harness TikTok to drive growth. We tightened our messaging, helped partners go from curiosity to clarity, and provided a clear path for companies to understand how to win on the platform. I’m proud of what we built. - Turning Gaming on TikTok into a powerhouse brand - Developing a global operations and partnerships organization - Creating a strategy that brought beloved brands and creators together Along the way, I am especially tickled by these big moments: 1. Rockstar’s first post on TikTok ahead of GTAVI !! 2. Delivering a Creator + Paid + Organic value prop to the market that other platforms couldn’t match 3. Traveling across the globe where brands, developers, and fans converge to speak at GDC, RDC, Gamescom, BitSummit and SXSW and help folks get to the “Aha” moment The best part of this journey was doing it alongside a passionate and talented team that was collaborative, creative, and cared deeply for the work, and for one another. As I close this chapter, I am grateful for the fun, the hustle, and the partners who helped us stretch and grow. Enormous thanks to the incredible humans who made these past three years so special. You know who you are. I'm being thoughtful about what comes next and excited for that chapter to unfold. Onwards!

I am beyond excited to see Justice Jackson do a fireside chat with former Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar. They were both so incredible at the 2025 WGCN Conference. To top it all off, I feel privileged to be closing out the 2026 Annual Meeting in conversation with my fellow honorees: *Deb Haaland, former US Secretary of the Interior *David Wilkins, Professor and Vice Dean at Harvard Law Icing on the cake: I can't wait to see Effie D. Silva, President Award's Recipient (and WGCN Member ❤️), speak on the Future of Legal Leadership! So grateful for my sisters at WGCN (Women's General Counsel Network). That’s why, together with leading European tech companies (Airbus, ASML, Ericsson, Nokia, SAP, Siemens), we met with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. We believe that we can, as Europe keeps losing competitiveness in an uncertain geopolitical scene, change Europe’s innovation path. Europe has the talents, the ecosystems, and the demand needed to build global leaders in the technology stack - from semiconductors to complex AI workflows - and to increase its technological autonomy drastically. To get there, we ask in this op-ed for a new collective approach to unlock innovation, foster growth and unleash investments. This wake-up call aims at ensuring that industry leaders and policymakers consult each other and act as one, now.

Of course it's an adjustment shifting from the daily rhythm (or lack thereof) of being an entrepreneur, but at the end of the day the work is what I love - ideating and executing on ideas that bring brands closer to the modern consumer. I was thrilled to have so many of these conversations last week at #WIRL. Jennifer DiPasquale and Melissa Campanelli, thank you for including us at your table and for bringing such an incredible group together. I truly felt like I spent 3 days with my industry BFF's - learning, laughing and leaning in. And a special thank you to Jennifer Goschke for joining me on stage to share her experiences - I know the audience was as inspired by you as I was. Christy Gourley and M (Marée) Bandrowczak, you represented our Retail & Hospitality group so beautifully and as we build out our Retail & Hospitality community, I love having such smart partners alongside me! I can't wait to do even more with this awesome community. But first, onwards to ServiceNow's #Know26 for more conversations with our amazing industry clients, partners and friends. See you in Vegas! ♥️ ♣️

Thank Dani Cherkassky Great piece on the architecture shift voice AI needs. The core thesis: cloud-centric voice systems fail in real-world conditions because they are too slow, too expensive to keep always-on, and deaf to spatial context. The solution is a hybrid architecture—fast, always-on edge processing (Spatial Hearing AI and Cognition AI) handling 80% of interactions locally, with cloud LLMs reserved for complex reasoning. But the Kahneman thesis runs deeper than the article suggests. System 1 and System 2 are not just useful metaphors—they reflect an actual biological sequence. Fast, intuitive processing (System 1) evolved first; slow, deliberate reasoning (System 2) was layered on top. The brain's architecture reflects this: spatial-acoustic processing happens in milliseconds at the brainstem and primary auditory cortex, long before language centers engage. Kardome is not just borrowing Kahneman as marketing. Their architecture is neurologically correct—it replicates the hierarchical, parallel, spatially-aware processing that makes human auditory cognition so robust. Here is the deeper point: hearing preceded language in human evolution, and spatial hearing preceded both. The mammalian auditory system evolved to detect predators and locate prey—survival functions that required sub-second latency and continuous environmental awareness. Language processing was layered on top of this infrastructure. Current voice AI inverts this evolutionary logic: it starts with language models and treats spatial audio as an afterthought. Kardome restores the natural hierarchy. 🙌 Danny Shapiro, Rory Sutherland

To truly grasp China's AI success, it's essential to understand its dynamic, layered ecosystem: > Infrastructure: The foundational layer of chips, robust systems, and advanced networking that powers everything. > Model Layer: Where we're seeing rapid breakthroughs from "excellent technologies" like DeepSeek, Alibaba Qwen, and Moonshot AI, pushing the boundaries of what AI can do. > Application Layer: This is where the magic truly happens, with technology being integrated and deployed at an even faster pace into real-world solutions across various industries. This integrated and fiercely competitive structure is what makes the ecosystem "quite dynamic." From an innovation perspective, which of these layers do you believe holds the most potential for disruptive change in the coming years, and why? #AIEcosystem #TechStack #AIApplications #GlobalTech #FutureofAI #DisruptiveTech
