Mamoun Samaha reacted on thisMamoun Samaha reacted on this2009, Iraq. Forward Operating Base Hammer. Chelsea Manning was a US Army intelligence analyst. 22 years old. From Oklahoma. She had access to military and diplomatic computer systems. Hundreds of thousands of classified files. Reports from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. She started reading them. What she found horrified her. Civilian death counts much higher than the military was reporting publicly. Reports of torture by US-trained Iraqi forces. Diplomatic cables showing American officials lying to the public. And one specific video. The video showed a US Apache helicopter in Baghdad in 2007. The crew opened fire on a group of men on the street. The men were not armed. Two of them were Reuters journalists carrying cameras. The helicopter killed them all. Then a van pulled up to help the wounded. The helicopter fired on the van too. Killed the driver. Wounded two children inside. The crew laughed on the radio. The Pentagon had blocked Reuters from getting the video for years. Manning had it. She tried first to give it to the New York Times and the Washington Post. They didn't return her messages. So she gave it to WikiLeaks. In April 2010, WikiLeaks released the video. Called it "Collateral Murder." The world saw it. People watched the helicopter kill journalists in real time. Heard the crew joke about it. It became one of the most viewed videos in history. Manning kept leaking. Hundreds of thousands of military reports from Iraq and Afghanistan. 250,000 diplomatic cables from US embassies all over the world. The leaks showed: US troops had killed thousands more civilians than the Pentagon admitted. Iraqi prisoners had been tortured. The US knew. Did nothing. American diplomats had been spying on UN officials. Even on their friends. Saudi Arabia was secretly funding Sunni terrorist groups. The US knew. Said nothing publicly. It was the biggest classified document leak in American history. Then in May 2010, Manning told a hacker she had done it. The hacker turned her in to the FBI. She was arrested in Iraq. Brought back to the US. Held in a military prison in Quantico, Virginia. For 11 months, she was held in solitary confinement. 23 hours a day in a small cell. No window. No belongings. Sometimes no clothes. The UN's torture investigator said this treatment was cruel, inhuman, and degrading. The military said it was for her own safety. In 2013, Manning was court-martialed. Pled guilty to some charges. Was found guilty of more. Charged under the Espionage Act of 1917. A law from World War I, originally written to punish German spies. The law didn't allow her to argue that her leaks served the public interest. She wasn't allowed to mention war crimes. Wasn't allowed to mention civilian deaths. Wasn't allowed to explain why she did it. The judge sentenced her to 35 years in prison. The longest sentence anyone in US history had ever received for leaking information to the press. https://lnkd.in/eUggU57j

The push server logic is configured to receive a GET command from a mobile device. The GET command includes a mobile device identifier parameter and a timeout parameter designating a maximum time interval for the push server to reply with a message. The push server logic holds a GET command session until expiration of a timeout designated by the timeout parameter in a condition that no message is targeted to the mobile device. The push server logic terminates the GET command session by sending a message immediately in a condition that the message is targeted to the mobile device.

🚨 MASSIVE CYBERATTACK AFFECTS NEVADA STATE TECHNOLOGY SYSTEMS 🚨 🔴 IMMEDIATE IMPACT The state of Nevada is facing significant disruption to its technology systems following a confirmed cyberattack. Multiple state agencies are reporting failures in critical services, including professional licensing systems and government portals. Governor Joe Lombardo's office has activated emergency protocols to contain the spread. 🛡️ CONTAINMENT MEASURES Authorities have preemptively disconnected several state servers to prevent further spread. Incident response teams are working with federal cybersecurity experts to determine the scope of the attack and restore priority services. The state of Nevada is setting a new standard in government data security. Colin Wood reports in StateScoop that the Nevada Governor’s Technology Office just unveiled a statewide data classification policy that replaces inconsistent agency practices with a unified framework, the result of a year’s work and a growing focus on cybersecurity. Uniform data classification is critical in an age of AI, complex interagency sharing and relentless cyber threats. But it’s hard, and many organizations still don’t do it well. Itai Schwartz, Co-Founder and CTO at MIND, noted “The state government that conforms to a proper data classification scheme is not very common at all. And I don’t blame them. It’s a really hard process to implement, even for a young innovative company.
