It takes a village to launch a revolution! At Elsevier we set out to solve a specific problem: the lack of trust and transparency in AI-assisted research. By grounding the workspace in over 18 million full-text articles and peer-reviewed data, we’ve created an environment where researchers can actually verify the "why" behind an AI output. While the technology is "state-of-the-art," the heart of this launch is the people and their massive collaborative efforts: - Our A&G UX and research team, keeping the researcher’s workflow at the center of every decision. - Our product and engineering partners, turning the concept of "traceable AI" into a functional reality. - Our beta testers – the research community at the universities and R&D organizations who stress-tested this, whose feedback was essential in getting us to day one. It’s been a privilege to be a part of this coming together. Looking forward to seeing how it supports the next wave of scientific discovery.

This hit close to home. This quarter we've been actively rethinking our design process. Removing rituals, pulling back on some discovery activities, and prioritizing speed and learning over craft and critique. It can be uncomfortable but it's the right direction. This episode puts a lot of it into words.
