  • Indianapolis Para-transit Improvement Project

    As a National Urban Fellow, I had the opportunity to participate in a collaborative project consisting of multiple stakeholders committed to improving municipal para-transit services in the City of Indianapolis.

    The stakeholders included:
    ~ The City of Indianapolis
    ~ CICOA Aging & In-home solutions
    ~ The Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation - [IndyGo]
    ~ The Central Indiana Regional Transportation Authority
    ~ The Indianapolis Regional Transportation…

    As a National Urban Fellow, I had the opportunity to participate in a collaborative project consisting of multiple stakeholders committed to improving municipal para-transit services in the City of Indianapolis.

    The stakeholders included:
    ~ The City of Indianapolis
    ~ CICOA Aging & In-home solutions
    ~ The Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation - [IndyGo]
    ~ The Central Indiana Regional Transportation Authority
    ~ The Indianapolis Regional Transportation Organization
    ~ The Indianapolis Office of Audit and Performance
    ~ Eli Lilly & Company

    The group analysed the nature of para-transit service provision with particular attention paid to process, inputs, and possibilities for inter-organizational coordination.

    The end result was a 34-page report outlining findings and recommendations for both the City of Indianapolis and the participating stakeholders.
