Adam Harmetz shared thisCatch me at ECS 2026 (Cologne) in one of the three ways: -Today: A panel in expo hall on the future of work at 3:20pm. -Tomorrow: The keynote on Microsoft 365: Copilot, Teams, and SharePoint at 9am. -Tomorrow: The best overview of what’s new in SharePoint - my deep dive at 1:30pm.

Adam Harmetz shared thisEnterprise AI’s adoption won’t be figured out in a frontier lab - it’s success or failure will be most determined by folks on the frontline of deploying it within their organization. That’s why I’m excited to be delivering a keynote at ECS 2026 (Cologne) this week where the team and I will share the latest demos of Microsoft 365 across Copilot, Teams, and SharePoint. Looking forward to learning from the folks “in the arena” - those who are figuring out every day what agents are delivering results for their teams & how their colleagues are adopting AI.

Adam Harmetz shared this📰 BREAKING NEWS: I’m thrilled to share that Microsoft has been recognized as a Leader in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Document Management! We are honored to be positioned highest for Ability to Execute. Over the past year we’ve invested heavily in making SharePoint and OneDrive the governed knowledge foundation for the AI era — grounding Microsoft 365 Copilot on trusted content, bringing agentic experiences into every document library, and strengthening governance across the content lifecycle. Thank you to our customers and partners for the trust you've placed in us! READ MORE: https://lnkd.in/dbRs7vG9

Adam Harmetz shared thisMy #M365Conf26 trip report to the team this year: An AI-generated brochure of the top 50 social reactions to the event, organized by my thoughts on what I hoped customers took away from the week. It was so much fun to tell the story of the week in attendees’ own words - using Copilot to elevate my team comms. For the curious on how I did it - I wrote a markdown file in my OneDrive that was the "spec" for the page, used both AI in SharePoint and Copilot Cowork to categorize the posts into the right sections & generate the stunning visuals, and then hosted the page in SharePoint to make sharing easy.

Adam Harmetz reposted thisAdam Harmetz reposted thisYou can now turn #SharePoint lists, Excel files, and any old idea into interactive HTML experiences. No code required. In this video I walk through dashboards, org charts, restaurant menus, conference schedules, pricing pages, and site usage reports. All generated from data already sitting in SharePoint. The real unlock? Skills of course! Reusable templates that lock in your branding and style so every report looks consistent. Ask once, reuse forever. This video is meant to inspire you to see some of the things you can generate such as: - Interactive dashboards from list data - Filterable org charts from Excel - Conference schedules with expandable details - Site maps showing every list, library, and column - Themed usage reports with search and drill-down This is what happens when AI understands your data and can write HTML, JavaScript, and CSS on the fly. 🚀 Get started with the all new AI in SharePoint → https://aka.ms/SPAIoptin 📂 See my library of skills & demos → https://lnkd.in/ganjc5qB 🎥 Watch more of my demos of AI in SharePoint → https://lnkd.in/gkkQ7ihM #SharePoint #Microsoft365 #AIinSharePoint #Metadata #Copilot #ContentManagement

Adam Harmetz reposted thisAdam Harmetz reposted thisWith the latest tools for AI in #SharePoint you can now generate complex reports on your data. Any visualization you wanted--now available! From site storage to a full hiring pipeline report on a SharePoint list in under a minute. Interactive HTML with a Sankey diagram, stage metrics, at-risk candidates, and a role-by-role breakdown. The real power isn't the one-time report. It's the skill behind it. Take a look at how AI in SharePoint reads the data and then outputs a live HTML dashboard. Skills deliver consistency and then additional tools allow you to transform that same report into PowerPoint or other formats with just another prompt. The sky's the limit in terms of the outputs.

Adam Harmetz shared thisI loved being the Microsoft exec sponsor for the The Microsoft 365 Community Conference this year. It gives me such respect for all that goes on behind the scenes to make the event sing. A hardworking vteam of over forty people at Microsoft worked tirelessly to deliver our presence at the show, led by our EP Heather Cook. Thank you to all the content leads, demand gen experts, booth designers, keynote showrunners, comms professionals, event managers, AV techs, & logistics experts who ensured this show was the best we’ve ever done. The event itself is put on by the great folks at NextGen Events, with showlead Bryan O’Connell. Thank you for the partnership and passion for delivering a first rate attendee experience! Since it’s a community show, our Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals are an essential part of the experience - over 50 attended and many were on the community content working group. MVPs are the core of the best community in tech! Finally, over 200 Microsoft product makers attended this year. Breakout sessions, booth duty, keynote demos, analyst briefings, exec roundtables, research sessions - this is how we stay connected to customers. Thank you to everyone who took time away from the office and families to make it all happen. 📷 My “keynote backstage” selfie

Adam Harmetz reacted on thisAdam Harmetz reacted on thisSee how easy it is with AI in SharePoint to style SharePoint lists and libraries in 9 completely different ways! Same data. Same metadata. Completely different user experiences. Inspired by an internal demo from Farreltin (Yi) Fan, I built a reusable "list styling" skill that transforms any list into something people want to look at. It can be paired with style patterns you can create to really define new patterns and looks. Here's how it works: - Describe the aesthetic you want (e.g.: blueprint, minimal, bold) - Copilot generates a color palette to match - The skill applies row-level formatting across your entire view No SharePoint formatting expertise needed. Describe it, and the AI builds it. All styles and the list styling skill are shared on GitHub. Use them, remix them, build your own! 🚀 Get started with the all new AI in SharePoint → https://aka.ms/SPAIoptin 📂 See my library of skills & demos → https://lnkd.in/ganjc5qB 🎥 Watch more of my demos of AI in SharePoint → https://lnkd.in/gkkQ7ihM #SharePoint #Microsoft365 #AIinSharePoint #Metadata #Copilot #ContentManagement #CopilotInSharePoint

Adam Harmetz reacted on thisAdam Harmetz reacted on thisI made SharePoint talk like Yoda for May the 4th because apparently I cannot be trusted with new AI features. Then I took it one step further and created a SharePoint skill that gives every day of the year its own personality. One skill, 365 voices, and a completely unnecessary amount of chaos. Business critical? Absolutely not. A fun way to understand how SharePoint skills work? Absolutely. #SharePoint #Microsoft365 #Copilot #AIInSharePoint #M365 #SharePointSkills

Adam Harmetz liked thisAdam Harmetz liked thisAuf wiesersehn #ECS2026! Sadly I need to head early to get home but it has been fantastic. Loved sharing my Anatomy of an agent session on the main stage and hope the few hundred people there enjoyed it. This is also a chance to announce that my AI Skills Org Repo webpart is live! This webpart looks at a document library where you can store a central set of Skills for your organisation but will buttons to publish them for an individual into Cowork, Skills in SharePoint or download to use with VS Code or Claude Code. This should fill a gap for orgs to start aligning their skills and make it easier to push them to more people, especially as Copilot Cowork gathers momentum. https://lnkd.in/eBATu8US It is always fun to catch up with other speakers and attendees at these events but I also loved sessions from: - Vesa Juvonen (thanks for the tip on using —agenttools in SharePoint to see the available tools) - Chris O'Brien - Adam Harmetz My favourite session though was a new speaker from Microsoft and Ajla Badža who spoke on how you can bring some of the practices that coding teams are doing with AI into the knowledge worker space. Really got me thinking on how to better organise some of the work I do and how I can do that with teams as well.

My mind was absolutely blown today. Again. For the third time since Micrososft Ignite 6 months ago…. Thank you Adam, Dan Holme, Vesa Juvonen and Erica Toelle for the amazing demos. As we close out Microsoft #Build 2025, one thing is clear: the future of software is being built with AI—and our partners are leading the way. This year’s announcements reflect a unified vision to empower the entire partner ecosystem, from software companies to systems integrators, managed services providers, resellers, and startups to enterprise, to innovate faster and scale smarter: • New AI capabilities and agentic tools are transforming how apps are built, deployed, and experienced. • Azure AI Foundry helps partners optimize performance, reduce costs, and accelerate time to value. • Programs like the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program and Microsoft for Startups are meeting partners where they are—with the right support at the right time. • And we’re doubling down on skilling with AI Agents Day, Certification Weeks and technical bootcamps to help every role stay ahead. This is more than a moment—it’s a movement. Let’s keep building together. Read the full blog https://lnkd.in/gHBxDE6K

While most customers I speak with jump right into M365 Copilot as soon as they leave one of our customer briefings in Redmond, some have specific requirements to have data processing happen within their country's borders that may slow down adoption. If this sounds familiar, read on for some good news! By the end of 2025, Microsoft will offer customers in four countries the option to have Microsoft 365 Copilot interactions processed in-country! Those countries are: 🦘 Australia 🫖 United Kingdom 🏏 India 🗾 Japan And it gets better! In 2026, we’ll expand this option to customers in 11 more countries including Canada, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, Poland, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States. To read more check out our blog post here: https://lnkd.in/g4QaefcS Of course, you don't need to wait to deploy Safe AI in your organization! Copilot Chat leverages Enterprise Data Protection and is free for organizations with Entra ID! Check out tips on how to activate it here: https://lnkd.in/gHXkF6bU #AIforAll #CopilotChat #M365 #Copilot #DataResidency

NEW JOB TITLES IF YOU ARE DEPLOYING AGENTIC AI🤓😜 If you’re deploying agentic AI in a regulated industry… Congratulations. You just created a whole new org chart. Because the moment an AI agent touches healthcare, law, insurance, or finance, you don’t just have “AI.” And the rules about accountability and professional responsibility have not changed. Here are the new job titles every regulated industry will have to consider: 1. Chief “Who Approved This?” Officer 2. Licensed AI Babysitter 3. Director of Nope 4. AI Hallucination Containment Lead 5. Stop-the-Line Button Owner 6. Head of Proof (a.k.a. Exhibit A) 7. AI Decision Trail Detective 8. Regulator Whisperer 9. VP of “That’s Not What We Meant” 10. AI Permission Police 11. Professional Responsibility Enforcer 12. The Person Who Gets Deposed But when the board, regulators, or judge asks: “Who approved this?” “The system did” is not an answer. It’s a confession. Protect the people you serve, including yourself. #iGovernAI™ 🤓❣️ #GovernBeforeYouAutomate™ #GovernBeforeYouInnovate™

As we use #AI day to day and the industries are adopting it across the breath, it's good to hear how AI is breaking barriers and adopted responsibly in the ecosystem. Insightful conversation with Jared Spataro, our CMO of AI at Work, about how AI has crossed an important threshold because of the ability of AI agents to think and reason. What does that mean for business leaders? It's time to adopt an "AI-first mindset" and reexamine business processes with digital labor in mind, he says. https://msft.it/6048Skl2s #msftadvocate #ai
