Alvina Antar reacted on thisAlvina Antar reacted on thisToday, we re-launched our new Chief in Tech Media platform, and our 5th annual Top 100 Chief in Tech Leaders to Watch (2026) list is live. And if I’m honest… this one feels different. Because behind this announcement are years of conversations with senior women in technology about the same tension: You can be driving global enterprise strategy… and still be under-recognized for the impact you’re delivering. That’s why this list exists. The 2026 cohort was selected from 5,328 nominations through a structured, multi-stage evaluation based on clear criteria: leadership scope, measurable business impact, organizational influence, and the relevance of innovation work. This isn’t about titles for the sake of titles. It's about technology leadership at scale. The leaders recognized this year are: - Driving transformation under pressure - Turning AI into real business leverage - Leading cybersecurity in high-risk environments - Scaling cloud, data, and enterprise platforms across complex organizations - Managing global teams, budgets, and competing priorities, while building cultures of trust And I want to say this clearly: This list is a spotlight, not a verdict. It’s one way to make senior tech leadership more visible and more measurable, so more women get the scope, credibility, and opportunities they’ve earned. To every leader on this year’s list: Your work matters. Your leadership matters. And you deserve to be seen. Explore the full Top 100 list here: https://lnkd.in/dX3XseqW Some of this year’s honorees are expected to join the Chief in Tech Summit, where senior executives from global companies convene to share technology strategy, transformation priorities and accelerate cross-industry collaboration. 🔁 React, repost, comment, and join us in celebrating their remarkable contributions. Alvina Antar reacted on thisAlvina Antar reacted on thisMarch was actually Madness. But in the best way. Like most Marketers in Cybersecurity, the Spring conference season is built into the calendar. But this year, we added layers that made it truly noteworthy: 💥 At FS-ISAC Spring Summit we announced we are up-leveling our membership to Critical Provider (full announcement in comments) 💥 At F5 AppWorld we launched the inaugural AI Security Leaders Forum - with an all-star lineup 💥 Co-hosted a CISO breakfast during RSAC Creating memorable experiences is absolutely one of my favorite parts of the job. In the highlight reel - watching our CEO François Locoh-Donou and a room full of industry leaders get completely mind-blown by the magician at one of our receptions. Sometimes the best moments aren't on the agenda. Grateful for all the wonderful customers, partners & colleagues who showed up. If we crossed paths this month, thank you. You made it worth every late night & early flight. 🤝 What was your March highlight?

Alvina Antar reacted on thisAlvina Antar reacted on thisOh what a night! Last night, Alvina Antar opened her Atherton home for BUILD, and the evening was such a powerful reminder of what happens when community comes together on behalf of young people. Alvina has had an extraordinary career, but what stands out most to me is how she shows up, with generosity, conviction, and real pride in BUILD and its alumni. I felt lucky to be there. As BUILD’s founder, I still marvel at how the organization continues to grow, scale, and find new opportunities for collaboration. But the highlight is always our alumni, whose stories of persistence, grit, and transformation stop people in their tracks. A special joy for me was seeing Webster L., a BUILD Alum who is now Mayor of East Palo Alto. That kind of arc is why this work matters. Congrats to Ryan Oliver and the BUILD California team. In dark times, BUILD brings light. Want to make a difference? Check us out! Special thanks to the BUILD team, Alumni and supporters who made this possible! One line in this piece tends to surprise people, especially when it comes to system evaluation: “𝘐𝘧 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘩𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘴 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘢 50% 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦, 𝘸𝘦’𝘳𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘺 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘮𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩.” That mindset grew out of many small failures and iterations. The point isn’t lowering the bar for quality. It’s raising the bar for how we measure systems and drive real improvements. This article reflects on that journey, from Flash Fill to today’s agentic systems, and why user flow, system evaluation, and human judgment matter in practice. Thanks to Anshika Mathews for capturing this so thoughtfully.

Coming soon: A new guide from Karat to help leaders update their rubrics and competencies for the human + AI era. In my recent conversations with engineering leaders at companies like Hewlett Packard Enterprise, NVIDIA, and Visa about how they’re transforming their workforces in 2026, I keep hearing the same concern – “the expectation is that my org will deliver massive change… but our hiring process no longer reflects how engineering work actually gets done.” Why are leaders identifying this as their biggest challenge? Because most evaluation criteria were designed for a pre-AI world. And when the criteria are outdated, organizations end up optimizing for the wrong signals and missing out on exceptional #talent that can help them show value, meet or exceed revenue goals, and more. At Karat, we believe that if AI has changed the job, it must change the hiring process, starting with the technical interview. That means #engineering leaders need to intentionally evolve their evaluation criteria to reflect AI-era competencies and shift rubrics toward: • How candidates frame and solve problems • How they design systems and reason about tradeoffs • How they communicate their thinking • How effectively they collaborate with AI as a tool, not a crutch Our upcoming guide is about helping leaders make that shift practically, responsibly, and at scale. More insights on how #AI is changing candidate behavior, where #hiring funnels are breaking, and why traditional interviews no longer work: https://lnkd.in/dUGE-xym

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗞𝗮𝗶𝗽𝘂 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗔𝗜 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 Every once in a while, you come across a leader whose perspective reframes how you think about tech and leadership. I recently had the chance to speak with Sandeep Kaipu, on our Conversive Talk. Sandeep leads platform services for VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) at Broadcom, shaping the private cloud and AI infrastructure that power some of the world’s largest enterprises. What stood out to me about Sandeep wasn’t just his deep technical knowledge, but 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲. He says it best: “𝘛𝘳𝘶𝘦 𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘪𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘪𝘦𝘴, 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘭𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘩. 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘥𝘦 𝘢𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦.” His upcoming book, 𝘈𝘐 𝘌𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 (2025), explores that intersection beautifully: balancing logic and empathy, systems and storytelling, technology and trust. 𝗔 𝗳𝗲𝘄 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗲: • Infrastructure is no longer plumbing, it’s the foundation of insight and creativity. • Leadership is service, helping others see their own potential more clearly. • Curiosity is the only sustainable strategy. If you’re passionate about AI, engineering, or leading teams through transformation, this conversation is a must-read. https://lnkd.in/guNgwqNQ #ConversiveTalks #Leadership #AI #Engineering #TeamCulture #AIEngineering
