Ankur Sinha shared thisA great first quarter in 2026! Across our core remittance product, as well as growth accelerators across customer categories and product areas - our performance continues to only get better! The increasing pace of product innovation is driving immense customer value as we expand who we serve and how well we serve them in 2026 and beyond! A big thank you to everyone on the Remitly Team for your diligence, customer centricity and focus!Ankur Sinha shared thisRemitly is proud to share our exceptional first quarter 2026 financial results and our raised outlook for the year. We delivered record revenue and Adjusted EBITDA, both above the high ends of our guidance ranges — and we exceeded $100 million in Adjusted EBITDA in a single quarter for the first time in our history. These results reflect the durability of our business model and the discipline of our execution. Key year-over-year highlights from the first quarter: 🔹 Send volume grew 37% to approximately $22 billion 🔹 Revenue grew 25% to approximately $453 million 🔹 Net income grew 332% to approximately $49 million 🔹 Adjusted EBITDA grew 74% to approximately $102 million, at a record 🔹 22% Adjusted EBITDA margin 🔹 Quarterly active users grew 20% to 9.6 million Our CEO, Sebastian J Gunningham, said: “We delivered an exceptional Q1, achieving record revenue and Adjusted EBITDA. Outperformance across key corridors and an increasing pace of product innovation are contributing to strong momentum in the business. The accelerated growth in quarterly active users is evidence of the continued trust and confidence customers place in Remitly. At the same time, disciplined cost management, scale benefits, and AI-driven efficiencies are delivering strong operating leverage.” For full results, including our earnings release and presentation, which include reconciliations of non-GAAP financial measures, visit → https://ir.remitly.com/ Adjusted EBITDA and Adjusted EBITDA margin are non-GAAP financial measures. #Remitly #FinTech #Earnings #FinancialResults #CrossBorderPayments

Ankur Sinha shared thisAnother step forward in making cross-border money movement more natural and accessible. Our customers already use WhatsApp to stay connected; it’s where their lives happen. By bringing Remitly deeper into that ecosystem - and now giving recipients a voice in how that money moves - we are making the essential task of sending money home as easy as sending a text message. We’re expanding Remitly’s WhatsApp Send to new markets (UK, Canada, Spain), meeting customers where they already are. At the same time, we’re launching Request Money via whatsapp - so recipients can initiate transfers, not just senders. A simple shift that makes the experience more intuitive and aligned with how people actually communicate. Starting with a partnership with Elektra and will expand on this use case as we learn from our customers. Try it out and let us know what you think! https://lnkd.in/gDRPsaMV

Ankur Sinha reposted thisAnkur Sinha reposted thisKraków’s AI scene is officially thriving! 🚀 We recently opened the doors of our Mogilska 35 office to host our very first meetup in partnership with BRAVE, welcoming the largest AI community in Poland. With over 100 guests joining the Remitly team, the energy in the room was electric. At Remitly, we strive to Reimagine What’s Possible, and seeing this level of curiosity and engagement from the local ecosystem was a perfect reflection of that value. Key Technical Takeaways: • Adrian Pażucha - our fellow Remitlian, shared how to build free investment tools • Sylwester Zieliński - showed how "Vibe-coding" actually works in practice • Paweł Kica - gave a masterclass on winning hackathons with an AI and product-first mindset The night didn't end there—our Open Mic session exceeded all expectations with bold lightning talks from Dawid Kotrys, Paweł Niedermaier, and Michał Czyżewski, followed by hours of intense networking and knowledge sharing. This wasn’t just a meetup; it was a signal that Kraków is a hub for AI innovation, and we are proud to be right in the center of it. Thank you to everyone who joined us! Ankur Sinha shared thisAs we closed out 2025 with our Q4 earnings, we’re filled with gratitude, pride and reflections on what we’ve achieved together. 🚀 To our customers: Thank you for trusting Remitly to move money - and what matters most - trust, care, and connection across borders. In 2025 we reached over 9 million active customers, facilitated $75B+ in send volume, and delivered $1.6B in revenue - driving life changing impact for families and small businesses around the world. 👩💼👨💼 To the Remitly team: None of this would be possible without your ingenuity, grit, and relentless focus on our mission - improving financial access globally. Your commitment to innovation and service excellence continues to set us apart. 📈 Our results speak volumes: Thanks to the collective effort, we delivered one of our strongest years yet and achieved sustained profitability, a major milestone in Remitly’s journey. 🙏 Thank you, Matt, for your leadership: Matt Oppenheimer has led Remitly with vision, heart, and conviction for nearly 15 years - building us from a bold idea into a global fintech platform that matters. Your leadership has shaped an enduring culture of customer obsession and growth, and we’re grateful for it. It’s been an absolute honor Matt to work for you and with you, and you are truly a unique leader and human. I’ve learnt so much from you, and look forward to continuing that partnership in your board role. 🌟 Welcome, Sebastian! A big Remitly welcome to Sebastian J Gunningham as our next CEO. With deep product instincts, global operating expertise, and a passion for scaling transformative platforms, Sebastian will take Remitly to even further heights, and look forward to his leadership. Even in the short amount of time I’ve spent with Sebastian, it’s been incredible to learn from his tremendous experience in areas like customer centricity, technological and product innovation and operational excellence. Here’s to 2026 - continuing our mission, elevating our impact, and growing together with our customers and community around the world. 💪🌍 #Remitly #Leadership #Growth #ThankYou #WelcomeAnkur Sinha shared thisRemitly is stronger than ever. In 2025, we surpassed 9 million active customers, reached $75B in send volume, generated $1.6B in revenue (up 29% y/y), and achieved our first full year of sustained profitability. We have scale, we’re rapidly growing, and we’re a growth company with no shortage of growth opportunities. From that position of strength, I’m announcing a leadership transition that I initiated through proactive, long-term succession planning. I’m stepping up into the role of Chairman of the Board. Sebastian J Gunningham will become our next CEO. As we look ahead to delivering the strategy outlined at our recent Investor Day, including expanding beyond global money movement to also serve customers in broader, more ambitious ways, this is the right moment to bring in a leader with deep product instincts, global operating experience, a hunger to leverage AI, and a track record of scaling platforms to serve hundreds of millions. Sebastian brings exactly that. He has built and operated global marketplace and payments businesses at Amazon at massive scale and led digital transformation at Santander. He pairs that experience with humility, rigor, and a deep commitment to customers. I’m not going far. I remain fully committed as one of Remitly’s largest shareholders. As Chairman, I will focus on long-term strategy, bringing a founder’s long-term perspective, and supporting Sebastian as he steps into the CEO role. I also plan to devote more time to additional board service and to cross-industry efforts where Remitly’s experience and platform can help address systemic challenges in global financial services. I have never been more optimistic about Remitly’s future. The full note that I sent to the Remitly Team and video are linked in the comments. We’re just getting started.

Ankur Sinha reposted thisAnkur Sinha reposted thisOn January 12, Remitly Poland officially opened its new office at Mogilska 35 in Kraków. This thoughtfully designed workplace allows our employees not only to work comfortably at their desks, but also offers many opportunities for collaboration in both small and larger teams. It supports group work in Hush Room as well as individual focus in Cave Rooms, specifically designed for neurodiverse employees. This is not just an office - it’s an experience. A place where everyone can find space not only to work, but also to recharge and develop their passions. Cozy open spaces, numerous conference rooms, beautifully equipped kitchens, areas for informal meetings, music room, mediation room, and phone booths for focused conversations all come together in one cohesive environment. Everything is aligned with the global standards we apply across our workplaces, so that anyone who visits immediately knows: this is Remitly. The cherry on top is our All Hands area featuring beautiful peacock feathers - locally referred to as Rynek - honouring the local context and culture. None of this would have been possible without the incredible collaboration and commitment of so many people. My heartfelt thanks go to the teams who worked tirelessly over the past months, and last few weeks to ensure that from day one, our employees would feel truly special in this space. Special thanks to Arletta Cygal, Tasos Sklias, Dominik Serafin, as well Cillian Deasy, and Erik Mikael Karlsson for all the long hours spent in the office ahead of the opening. You are an amazing team I can always rely on, and working with you is a true pleasure. I would also like to thank our local leadership, led by our Site Lead Łukasz Nalepa, for the trust and support throughout this journey. And a very special thanks to the Seattle team Matt Wise, Heather Rogers, and Aaron Selby. It’s a privilege to work with you and to see such wonderful results of our collaboration.

Ankur Sinha reacted on thisAnkur Sinha reacted on this🎉 Today we are proud to announce SageOx has raised a $15M seed round led by Canaan, with participation from A.Capital Ventures, Pioneer Square Labs, Founders Co-op, and strategic angels. We are excited for how this capital will fuel our work to help humans and AI agents collaborate effectively. Over the past few months, I’ve been deep in the shift in how products get built in the era of AI — witnessing firsthand how quickly execution is accelerating. Our team strives to move ~40x faster than we would have in the past. Our codebase is entirely agent-generated, by design. But it’s not just autonomous execution that’s changing — we’re rewriting how work gets organized and how teams stay aligned across humans and agents. We believe in micro teams that work in pulses throughout the day — oscillating between intense “coming together” moments and focused solo work, in full transparency, with built-in mechanisms to prevent human collision and agent drift. At this pace — with parallel execution across humans and agents — alignment becomes the bottleneck. Across teammates, projects, and communication channels. The mechanisms that existed in the past around planning and coordinating work, even just keeping track of what work is being executed, are no longer effective. That’s the problem that pulled us in. At SageOx, we’re building what we know firsthand is a missing layer for AI-native teams: a shared context infrastructure that keeps humans and agents aligned as they work. We capture context where it naturally happens — conversations, coding sessions, Slack, docs — and turn it into structured knowledge that flows into every new agent interaction. Every agent starts informed. Every team stays aligned. They operate in coherence. This builds on a much bigger personal shift for me over the past year — I wrote more about that journey here https://lnkd.in/gV5QhTSS. I’m incredibly grateful to be building this company with Ajit Banerjee, Ryan Snodgrass, Galex Yen, and an exceptional group of early partners and investors. Kumar S. Ramu Arunachalam Vivek Ladsariya Aviel Ginzburg Steve Yegge Rupak Majumdar Boris Jabes Matt Oppenheimer Maria Karaivanova Marius Ciocirlan Vikas Gupta Gokul Rajaram Satish Talluri I haven’t had this much fun in my career, ever. It’s an incredible time to be reimagining how work happens — and building the systems to support it. It’s early, but this feels foundational. Ankur Sinha reacted on thisAnkur Sinha reacted on thisPart of the fun of my early career was getting to do a lot of different things. Street performer juggler. Massage therapist. Winery cellar rat. Brewmaster and brewing instructor. Web developer. IT manager. Sales engineer. And most recently, CTO. I was so excited to join Workday 16 years ago, but my one concern was: this is probably it. This is the last place I'm going to work in my career. I've loved that entire journey. Workday brought so much to me and my family. I made close friends. I felt that I made a difference, and I had a real sense of purpose. I am grateful to Dave Duffield and Aneel Bhusri for starting Workday, and for all the amazing people I was fortunate enough to work with, learn from, and build great things with. I retired on May 6, 2026. What's next is not "consulting full-time on my own terms." I actually want the free time. That said, here's the shape of it: Selective advisory work where the fit is right and the people are interesting. I still have a lot of energy to help others simplify complex topics. Continue working with the World Juggling Federation (https://thewjf.com) to get juggling into the Olympics. Juggling has been a part of my life for 40 plus years. Working with my mom on the archive of her artwork (https://lnkd.in/gkS9xa6w). A lot more time with friends and family, which is the real point. If we worked together at Workday, I'd love to hear from you. Message me on LinkedIn and I'll give you my contact details if you don't already have them.

Ankur Sinha reacted on thisAnkur Sinha reacted on thisLaid off. Remitly restructured into an embedded model for design, which eliminated my role as a design leader, along with many roles across the centralized team I had the honor of supporting. I will miss the people, the mission, and the free food. But I am still hungry to build, and I had also gotten rather attached to getting a paycheck. So if you know of any opportunities for senior design leadership, please connect me. In the meantime, I am investing in AI skills, using them to bring things to life I never thought I could, and yes, going on adventures.

Google is building its largest data center outside the United States — right here in Vizag, India. A $15-billion AI hub that promises to transform India’s digital future. But behind the shiny promise lies a serious question: What is the cost of this AI dream in terms of real-world resources? The intersection of AI and climate is a complex topic, no doubt. We have tried to unpack some parts of it in a video that looks at the environmental impact of this data center on the Vizag landscape and it's people. https://lnkd.in/g8aTXfJg

Launching: Chat with Priyank (beta) today on https://priyank.tech A few weeks ago, I launched priyank.tech as a single home for my work, projects, and notes. Today I’m adding a faster way to get to the signal: Skip the scrolling, ask. “Chat with Priyank” answers questions about my projects, views, and skills by pulling the most relevant context and giving you a concise, useful response. What’s under the hood (and why): - Human‑verified access - Conversations start only after the system knows it’s interacting with a person, not a bot. - Scope & guardrails - It only answers questions about me. When a query is out of scope or uncertain, it responds with a polite “I don’t know.” - Context engineering first (no RAG, yet!) - An analysis by industry veterans suggested that GPT-5 class models can correctly use ~85% of the provided context. I want to see how far careful, prompt, and context design can go before adding retrieval. I’ll evaluate this over the next few days and decide before graduating from beta. - Prompt caching enabled - To keep costs under control (and responses snappy), repeat prompts and shared context are cached. - Early memory layer - A lightweight short-term memory layer powers more personal, consistent answers across sessions. Try it on: https://priyank.tech If it’s your first visit, do subscribe to my newsletter—I’ll share build notes, decisions, and lessons learned there. Starter prompts: “Tell me about your AI and Generative AI expertise “How can you help me become an AI first organization?” Feedback is welcome, especially edge cases and failure modes. #AI #product #buildinpublic #LLM

On the latest episode of Embracing Erosion I sat down with Suyog Deshpande, Co-Founder & CEO of Webless (a Fluvio Ventures portfolio company). Before starting Webless, Suyog spent years at Amplitude, Salesforce, and Samsara - shaping products and GTM strategy at scale as a product marketing leader. That perspective is now fueling one of the boldest bets in tech: 🏗️ rebuilding the web for LLMs. Instead of optimizing for clicks and SEO, Webless imagines an agentic web -where sites are designed to interact directly with AI models and agents. We dug into: - What an LLM-native web could actually look like - How companies can prepare to be LLM-ready - What metrics will matter beyond pageviews and clicks - Why safety and trust are core to agent-driven experiences - Lessons Suyog brings from “big tech” into this transformation If you’re curious about how discovery, trust, and value exchange will evolve online, this one’s worth your time. This was an awesome chat with Deepak Chhugani where we did a deep dive into how Nuvocargo is leveraging AI. We also discussed lots of topics like how B2B marketplaces often start off looking more like brokerages, how operationally complex marketplaces can leverage AI, taking the "full-stack AI" vs. vertical agent approach, early GTM strategies for B2B marketplaces, and more. This is a must-watch (or listen) for B2B marketplace founders and get ready to take some notes!

Very interesting proposal from Vinod Khosla ,not because the idea itself will happen, but because it forces us to confront a reality we avoid. AI is concentrating value at unprecedented speed, the middle class is eroding, and our redistribution model built on employment is becoming obsolete. If we don’t rethink how the wealth created by AI is shared and reinvested ,in the ecological transition, human capital, research , we will leave a vacuum that populism will fill. The real debate isn’t about technology. It’s about the future of the social contract.
