Today, I'm thrilled to share that I've officially joined Centific as a Technical Advisor & Pre-Sales Enablement Agentic AI Program Manager, reporting directly to the SVP of Sales. First- what does Centific do? Most people haven't heard of them. That's exactly what makes them fascinating. Centific describes itself as the "hidden infrastructure behind world-class AI models"- and that's not marketing speak. They build the data engines that power frontier models, generating and refining real-world signals across language, vision, behavior, and expertise so AI systems learn faster, generalize better, and actually perform beyond the lab. Behind that mission is a team of 150+ PhDs and data scientists, 4,000+ AI practitioners and engineers, and a global network of 1.8 million domain experts. This is serious, foundational work. The kind that doesn't always make headlines but quietly shapes everything you use. This is not a company experimenting with AI. This is a company building the AI that everyone else experiments with. My role sits at a fascinating intersection. I bridge Centific's deep AI research and their sales teams - translating complex frontier AI work into clear, actionable signals that drive real revenue using Agentic Engineering. The privilege? Working directly with deep research into all of major AI frontier models and companies. Fine-tuning. Data collection. Annotation pipelines. The work beneath the work. And then there's walking into an office surrounded by robots, sensors, Physical AI, Vision AI, and Figure AI technology. The future showed up early here and forgot to send a memo. Binu Reghunathan liked thisBinu Reghunathan liked thisLast Monday, I had the privilege of returning to The The University of Texas at Dallas Naveen Jindal School of Management, UT Dallas for the second batch of undergraduate literature review presentations through the JURS program led by Prof. Ramesh Subramoniam. It was another energizing morning that showed what practical and experiential learning can look like in the age of AI. Two students presented work connected to Situational AI who I had the opportunity to guide. • Avani Tripathi delivered an excellent overview of Situational AI, comparing it with other current AI approaches and frameworks. • Krishang Mandala explored Mica Endsley’s three-level model of Situation Awareness and how it can be applied to modern LLM-based systems. Beyond these exemplary work, what amazed me was that, 12 more students presented thoughtful work across important emerging domains, including: • AI acceptance in marketing • XAI (Explainable AI) • Ethical and privacy concerns in AI • Financial inclusion • Healthcare challenges such as blood transfusion and inventory management • Venture capital investing and its impact on IPO outcomes What stood out most was the depth of thinking and relevance of the topics. These were not theoretical classroom exercises—they reflected real-world problems, modern technologies, and practical curiosity. Overall, JURS is a highly innovative program that is creating a new model for experiential learning—where students go beyond passive textbook knowledge and engage in deeper applied work that truly matters in today’s AI era. My appreciation again to Prof. Ramesh Subramoniam for building an ecosystem where students can think bigger, explore earlier, and prepare for the future. This is how talent is developed. What stood out most was seeing students truly understand the idea that intelligence is not only about answering prompts, but about recognizing situations, interpreting context, and taking the right next action all the time. They worked hard to apply these ideas across meaningful real-world domains: * Credit card fraud detection * Finance systems * Sustainability thru Prompt optimization * Cancer detection * Clinical and healthcare applications For me, this was bigger than watching their presentations. It was a glimpse of the future—young minds taking early concepts and pushing them into industries where better intelligence can create real value for society. When students begin thinking this way, innovation accelerates. I almost didn't come. Before I was released, Leo N. (who had brought Defy Ventures into the prison) gave us some advice: find a group called F3 when you get out. He said: "Yes, it's a free workout. But it's more than that, it's a leadership community of men who show up for each other even outside of the workout." I held onto that. That first morning, I pushed through a workout I barely survived alongside men who had no idea where I'd been. And when it was over and we gathered for coffee, something moved in me, and I told them. All of it. They didn't judge. They pulled me in. And then they gave me a nickname, "Roma", because I don't like tomatoes 🍅. For so long, I had chased brotherhood in the wrong places. The street life offered belonging too, but it was built on survival, not growth. These men were different. They were building lives, families, legacies. And they let me build alongside them. I think about that morning constantly. How different everything might look if I hadn't. If you’re investing ₹3Cr+ in #Hyderabad, read this before you decide. Most buyers at this level don’t fail because of budget. They fail because of misplaced confidence. I see it often, Good capital. Strong intent. But decisions driven by surface signals: • “This area is trending” • “Builder is popular” • “Everyone is buying here” That’s not strategy. That’s noise. At ₹3Cr+, your decision should be based on 3 filters: ✅ 1. Location Timing Not “good area”, but where is this location in its growth cycle? Early = upside. Peak = limited gain. ✅ 2. Real Demand vs Hype Is this end-user driven… or just investor chatter? Because hype fades. Demand sustains. ✅ 3. Project Depth Not just amenities. Look at planning, density, long-term livability. That’s what protects your value. In mature markets like the #UK, buyers don’t chase properties, they track patterns, cycles, and entry points. 👉🏻 That’s the gap I see in Hyderabad today. The city is growing fast. But not every “luxury” project will age well. If I had ₹3Cr today, I wouldn’t ask “what can I buy?” I would ask: 👉 “Where will smart money enter before the market catches up?” That one shift changes everything.
