This April, twelve of Rutgers' most ambitious students visited four of New York City Metro's top Commercial Real Estate firms as part of the Rutgers Real Estate Club's annual Office Visit Events. Our cohort spent the time immersed in some of the industry's most respected shops:
At
Newmark's New Jersey Headquarters, professionals spoke candidly about the resilience and mental fortitude required to build a lasting career in commercial real estate — a lesson that set the tone for the rest of the day.
At
PGIM Real Estate, students toured The Vanguard Chelsea, a Class A multifamily property in the heart of Manhattan, gaining a firsthand look at how institutional-grade assets are managed at the highest level.
MetLife Investment Management welcomed our students to the Intercontinental Times Square Hotel, offering a unique and eye-opening perspective on how a world-class hospitality asset is operated day-to-day.
Finally, at
Ackman-Ziff's NYC headquarters, an interactive session drove home the importance of building meaningful relationships and finding the right mentors early in your career, a message that resonated deeply with every student in that room.
A huge thank you to
Joanna Mulford,
Ryan Ladd,
Jonathan Stern,
Rita J. Scott, and
Sean Moynihan for opening their doors and investing their time in the next generation of CRE professionals. We are incredibly grateful.
