I think I got in everything I wanted to do on my last day before retiring: ☑️ Saw the sunrise at Apple Park while listening to my original iPod (original battery too and it still held up for several hours!) ☑️ Went to the Apple Park gym and worked out with my iPod (yes I got a bunch of curious looks) ☑️ Rode an Apple Park bike around the outer ring for the last time ☑️ Finally ate from the last station I had never eaten from at Caffe Macs. Surprisingly, it was the pizza station that I had never tried at Apple Park and now I regret never having eaten a pizza there before ☑️ Said my final good-byes and was surprised by a warm clap out by my teams and coworkers It was a joy to work at Apple and I truly loved what I did. A big thank you to everyone I worked with, both inside and outside Apple!

Curtis Sasaki liked thisCurtis Sasaki liked thisToday is my last day at Intel. Today marks the end of another chapter in my career, and the beginning of a new journey. I joined Intel nearly 5 years ago as Intel Foundry was being launched. I saw the critical need for US based advanced semiconductor manufacturing, and believed in Intel's role in filling that need. Intel Foundry's mission resonated with not only Intel employees but across our customers, partners, and suppliers. Foundry is a high capex, long lead-time, and extremely technology and manufacturing intensive endeavor. As one of the earliest Intel Foundry executives, I am proud to have led business development strategy and worldwide customer engagement. We built business processes, infrastructure, and most critically our teams. We evangelized foundry best practices across Intel organizations. We secured early customer wins on wafer and advanced packaging platforms. Clearly, there is much more to accomplish. I am happy Intel Foundry will continue with new and experienced leadership on the long and critical journey. I will be taking some free time to explore both the world and the broader industry we are in. Supply chain resiliency has never been more important in today's world. New businesses and companies are formed at record pace as AI drives unprecedented innovation. I will be interested in putting my experience to good use. I look forward to connecting with old acquaintances and making new friends. I will be reaching out and also welcome outreaches from my connections so we can both rekindle good old memories and brainstorm new ideas. I am proud of our past accomplishments, and excited about what may yet be coming. Stay healthy. Stay connected. And always be young at heart.

some great points brought up here - 448G is not just upscaled Ethernet - it must bring address the scale at bandwidth density that AI 'scale up and scale out' needs. We need new interconnect technology, careful focus on power and density and modulation and a solid cost base to make this hit the needs and potential of AI silicon.
