This outstanding group of 5 high school students received a full flight training scholarship to earn their Private Pilot Certificate. They will begin their training out of San Carlos Airport this June and start their senior year of high school as a certified pilot. I joined the Upwind Foundation almost two years ago to assist with outreach and fundraising efforts. Most recently, I was pleased to lead our largest fundraiser of the year. In less than 2 hours, we raised over $20,000 to support this year's class. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, we featured more than 50 auction items ranging from unique flight experiences, including landing rights at SFO, to time with flight instructors and a variety of other aviation-related offerings. These initiatives require a tremendous amount of work, coordination, and most importantly, support from the organization. I've been pleased to work alongside a passionate board of directors that enables us to succeed. Through these experiences and our targeted fund-a-need campaign, we continue to exceed our fundraising goals. The Upwind Foundation is making a meaningful difference in the lives of young aviators. I’m proud to be part of such a transformative organization and excited to carry this momentum forward for years to come.

Christopher Rimer reacted on thisChristopher Rimer reacted on thisI’m excited to announce I have joined OpenAI as the VP of Strategic Global Partners and Ecosystems. ChatGPT took the world by storm and opened possibilities to inspire humanity to do things differently. OpenAI’s footprint quickly expanded to enterprise customers who are already realizing significant outcomes. But this ball game is in the early innings and OpenAI, together with our partners, future impact on joint customers will be monumental. Some would say the most impactful technological leap ever experienced. Bringing value to enterprise customers through a vibrant, profitable and strategic ecosystem is my super power. But this time I’m thinking differently than ever before. This time we will harness the power of AI to support, inform, train and engage with partners. Together we will sharpen new skills and build value for customers that will produce wonder and true ROI. My professional journey has been building towards this inflection point. I have been brought up on partner principles for decades. We will continue to listen, we will build quickly, we will work to create meaningful value together across partners and an amazing sales team. This will be an epic journey but by no means can I do this alone. You know who you are, you know what this next evolution will mean, you have been building skills, offerings and strategies to lead your customers through this AI journey. The time to build your practice and technology around OpenAI is now. We are here building an epic GTM Sales, Marketing, Operations and Partner machine tailor made and laser focused on AI. I could not be more excited to join Denise Holland Dresser who announced my joining in her Codex WSJ article, and so many other world class GTM executives on this iconic journey. Let’s get partnering!

Christopher Rimer liked thisChristopher Rimer liked thisThree months ago I had never used Claude. I was introduced to it in my role at CBRE as an analyst, and immediately wanted to test its capabilities. Right away I realized my data analysis would never be the same; Claude didn't just make me faster, it unlocked new ways of thinking, and gave me the bandwidth to explore new ideas. I created market briefings that used to take hours that now run in minutes. Property documents that required manual data entry now export clean in seconds. Weekly prospect intelligence reports delivered to teammates on demand. Quarterly data cleanup that used to take hours now takes ten seconds. Every tool I built in a day or two. Each one replacing hours of manual work. Built to be intuitive so anyone on the team can use them without a technical background. To every athletic director, team executive, and business leader reading this post: at $20 per month, this is a technical advantage you can’t afford to ignore. To current data analysts, take the time to explore Claude. Your existing skills are exactly what make you unstoppable when you combine them with AI power tools like this. The analysts who figure this out early are going to be operating on a completely different level. If you’re looking to build a team in sports or entertainment and looking to embrace change, find the best solutions, and test the boundaries of traditional paths, I can walk you through the projects and data tools I’ve built. Or better yet, let me help you build solutions for your own business challenges. #SportsBusiness #SportsAnalytics #AIinSports #DataAnalytics #BusinessAnalytics #Claude #FutureOfWork #SportsJobs #Athletics #SportsTech Chris Shepherd, thank you for introducing me to Claude and giving me the space to explore. Your trust and willingness to try something new is helping shape my career.

Back in 2016, I was fortunate to be part of the early days of AWS Global Accounts, working closely with bp. In 2020, I stepped into leading a dedicated team for Energy customers across EMEA, starting with just a handful of accounts and an exceptionally close-knit team. There have been so many highlights along the way, and so many people to thank for their leadership, support and partnership. The people at AWS are truly exceptional and I've always deeply valued the culture at Amazon bringing us together to serve customers in the best way possible. It’s been a privilege to work alongside such talented colleagues, as well as with incredible customers and partners in the Energy industry. I’m excited for my next chapter, to be joining a leading company in its field. More to follow on that in the coming weeks. For the next 20 days or so, I’ll be spending time with the family, studying a new industry, and working on improving the handicap. Onwards we go! Christopher Rimer reacted on thisChristopher Rimer reacted on thisMost people who have worked with me for more than a few months know that I’m passionate about history in general, and Singapore history in particular. I’ve been reading, researching, and writing about it for years, always with the idea that it would one day support my post-IT adventure: leading walking tours on the history of Singapore. Last year, during a break between jobs, I earned my Singapore tour guide license. To keep that license valid, the Singapore Tourism Board requires me to lead at least two tours each year for visitors to Singapore. Singaporeans, PRs, and EP holders are very welcome to join, but they do not count toward the renewal requirement. So I’m putting this out there: if you, your friends, your family, or anyone you know might be interested in a Singapore history walking tour sometime in 2026, please let me know. Two notes. First, because I work full-time at Anaplan, I only run tours on Saturdays and Sundays. Second, because I work full-time at Anaplan, I do not do this for income. All proceeds will be donated to Exclusively Mongrels, the rescue group from which we adopted our Singapore street dog, Settie. You can choose what you would like to pay for the tour, with one small exception: it cannot be zero, because of STB rules.

Turnaround time is often treated as a speed problem. It isn’t. In this piece for Aerospace Global News, Suresh Iyer makes a clear case for why TAT consistency—not just acceleration—is what separates high-performing MROs from the rest. What resonates most is the focus on orchestration: Aligning people, parts, tools, and data Removing friction between systems instead of replacing everything Designing workflows that support technicians and inspectors in real time From my experience modernizing MRO environments, meaningful TAT improvement comes from process clarity and visibility across the operation, not one-off optimizations. A thoughtful read for anyone focused on operational reliability and predictable outcomes. #AviationMRO #TurnaroundTime #MROOperations #DigitalTransformation

I had the chance to present “Accidents Happen at Intersections” at the Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance ADVANCE 2026 conference in Washington and came away with a few takeaways worth sharing. First, the aerospace supply chain is very much alive and moving. You can feel the urgency. There’s real momentum behind tackling the backlog and getting production back to where it needs to be. What stood out even more, though, was the level of candor in the room. People weren’t sugarcoating challenges or hiding behind talking points. There were honest conversations and hard questions about what’s broken and what actually needs to change. That’s not always the norm at events like this, and it's the only way forward. It was also refreshing to hear Ihssane Mounir speak about how Boeing is rethinking supply chain relationships. There’s a clear shift happening from transactional to more integrated, collaborative models. Still early, but directionally important. The core message from my talk holds: the biggest risks and inefficiencies in this industry don’t live inside any one system or company. They live at the intersections between them. That’s where the work is and that is where Paperless Parts is going. Big thank you to Nikki Malcom and the PNAA team for the invitation and for letting me pick the walk-up music. 😁 🛫 https://lnkd.in/euCrieig

Our latest interview with Firefly Aerospace CEO Jason Kim proves the moon is now a destination for data centres, power plants, and high-speed networks. Another major thing I'm looking forward to seeing playout in the 2026 roadmap? Agentic AI in orbit. We’re moving from sending raw data back to Earth to processing Insight-as-a-Service directly in space. It’s a complete re-engineering of how we use orbital assets. Can't wait to be in DC for our very first event on Nov 9-10 to host Jason and other key disruptors in the industry. the rest of this conversation. If you’re in the space or tech sector, this Q&A is a must-read. Check out more about the event: https://lnkd.in/ehqbYEeA

The aviation landscape has changed fast and the old line between large hub and regional airports is fading. Today, small hub airports are doing “big airport” jobs, and airports of every scale are accelerating investments in modernization, sustainability, and seamless travel enabled by technology.

Aviation Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) is experiencing a significant transformation, unlike anything witnessed in my extensive 25+ years in Aerospace & Defense. Gone are the days when paper job cards, spreadsheets, and outdated ERP systems sufficed. Today's maintenance operations demand agility, sophistication, and adherence to stringent regulations that traditional methods can no longer meet. Industry leaders are grappling with a common challenge: How can we modernize MRO processes while ensuring seamless ongoing operations? In my recent blog post, I delve into crucial topics: - The imperative need for MRO organizations to embrace digital transformation - The tangible consequences of limited asset visibility and manual processes - The pivotal role of the Digital Thread in revolutionizing maintenance planning, execution, and compliance readiness - The evolving requirements that specialized Aviation "purpose-built' MRO software must address in the years ahead Most importantly, I invite you to share your perspective: What do you identify as the primary obstacles hindering MRO modernization today? Is it workforce capacity, outdated tools, financial constraints, change management hurdles, integration complexities, or perhaps other challenges? Your insights are invaluable in shaping innovative solutions for the Aviation, Defense, and commercial MRO sectors. Explore the full blog for a comprehensive insight: https://lnkd.in/eKNAFDxy I eagerly anticipate our forthcoming discussions. #Aerospace #Defense #Aviation #Maintenance #MRO #AssetTracking #DigitalThread #MROSoftware #MROSystems #MROSolutions #MROManagement #MROInventory #AircraftMROSoftware #MROPlatform #MROERP #ImpresaMRO

Proud to see HyperKelp getting the recognition they deserve in the press. Two great pieces dropped recently on what the team has been building: 📰 San Diego Business Journal covered HyperKelp's expansion into Europe and the South Pacific through NATO DIANA and the MetroConnect World Trade Center San Diego Program. The team is building pathways to NATO member states and Indo-Pacific partners including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and the Philippines. Article Link: https://lnkd.in/eMW9C2AZ 🏄 Surfer Magazine spotlighted their Kelp Smart Buoys monitoring water quality and underwater sound in San Diego Bay. #KSB's are tracking chlorophyll, CO₂, salinity, and acoustic noise in real time to help scientists and port authorities keep the bay healthy. Article Link: https://lnkd.in/eWABdMsr Two very different audiences. One mission: better ocean data for a better world. Graeme Rae, Ph.D., Costas Soler, and the entire #HyperKelp team have been grinding on this for years. It's great to see their hard work being recognized. #BlueEconomy #SmartBuoys #OceanTech #MaritimeTech #NATO #DefenseTech #SanDiego

Is Your Vendor Truly Committed to Aerospace & Defense? In Aerospace & Defense, success isn’t just about delivering a product today — it’s about sustaining programs for decades. Vendors come and go. Strategies shift. But defense customers can’t afford uncertainty. That’s why it’s critical to ask the tough questions when evaluating your technology partners: - Will they support my program for 15–20 years? - Are they investing in safety- and security-critical certifications? - Is A&D their top priority, or just another vertical? - Have they recently signaled a pivot toward enterprise markets — through RIFs, leadership hires, or shifting investments? Defense programs demand longevity, focus, and security. Anything less is a risk to mission success. Always ask: Is my vendor as committed to A&D as I am? Lynx demonstrates commitment, visit https://lnkd.in/gx9q7zW5

The #aerospace and #defense industries are undergoing massive transformation, with supply chain uncertainties, geopolitical activity, and cost constraints requiring organizations to rethink their approaches to product development. Amid these challenges, one approach stands out as a critical enabler of transformation and value for A&D – digital continuity. According to Capgemini research, digital continuity not only makes organizations more agile – it helps streamline workflows with 34% of A&D organizations having already achieved cost reductions and 30% having shortened time-to-market. How are A&D organizations embracing digital continuity strategies to create value and gain a competitive edge? https://lnkd.in/g6j9Wv-i
