At CCA, we embrace the classical Christian education model, a time-tested approach that cultivates wisdom, virtue, and a lifelong love of learning. Through the Trivium—grammar, logic, and rhetoric—students are trained to think critically, communicate effectively, and engage the world thoughtfully.Stanley Christian Academy+1Stanley Christian Academy+1

  • Character Matters: Winning Strategies to Grow Virtues that Shape Tomorrow's AI Leaders

Will we control AI—or will AI control us?

And what does character have to do with it?

As emerging technologies reshape our world, many are focused on what AI can do for us. But we also need to ask what AI might do to us—especially if we fail to cultivate the character required to lead wisely in this new era.

And what does character have to do with it?

As emerging technologies reshape our world, many are focused on what AI can do for us. But we also need to ask what AI might do to us—especially if we fail to cultivate the character required to lead wisely in this new era.

If you asked the ancients, they’d say that character and virtue are foundational—especially during rapid cultural and technological change. These qualities ground our decision-making, influence our actions, and shape the kind of future we create.

In my upcoming book, Character Matters: Winning Strategies to Build Virtues that Shape Tomorrow’s AI Leaders, I challenge today’s leaders to prioritize character development as a non-negotiable leadership strategy.

I believe we need a new kind of leader—one shaped by timeless virtues. I call this the DAKOTA Leader, someone who embodies:
D – Determination: Grit, perseverance, and resilience
A – Awareness: Of their gifts, blind spots, and others
K – Knowledge: Grounded in truth and wisdom
O – Optimism: Hopeful in the face of adversity
T – Trustworthiness: Reliable in all things, big or small
A – Accountability: Responsible for self and choices

Character isn’t a “soft skill.” It’s a core competency for anyone guiding people, systems, or nations through uncertainty and innovation.

My belief? Character development is the highest priority for every leader—especially in the AI age.

Let’s raise up virtue-driven, future-ready leaders. The world needs them now more than ever.
