David Spezia ha compartido estoGood morning, LinkedIn, I am writing this post to let everyone know that as of today, I am leaving Salesforce. This has been a fun and exciting chapter in my career, helping the team form around Data and AI within one of the largest software ecosystems in the world. The people I have met on this journey are some of the brightest I have had the pleasure of working with over my career. I am looking forward to the next chapter, but more on that later.

David Spezia ha compartido estoWhat a time to be in Data & AI at Salesforce! We just acquired Informatica, which is a huge investment that will realize outcomes right away. We are building something special with data, much like the garden I built this weekend. Something was already there. I’m just making it better. I personally see 3 benefits here: 1 - MDM and identity resolution on objects beyond account and individual 2 - An enterprise grade data catalog for a launch point for all things, data, AI and analytics for the developers and analysts 3 - Integrating some of the amazing things you can do in a data stream with transforms and functions into data cloud data streams It’s also fun for me to be able to tell my mother you know that Salesforce commercial with Matthew McConaughey, that’s the division of Salesforce I work for and and she thinks that is all right, all right, all right!

David Spezia ha recomendado estoDavid Spezia ha recomendado estoIt's always energizing to be with the #datafam, and #TC26 did not disappoint. So many great conversations that reminded me why this community is special. Whether it was catching up with longtime friends or meeting new faces, one question kept coming up in every conversation: Is your data AI-ready? Not just connected. Not just modern. Actually ready for AI to work with it in a way that reflects how your business thinks, operates, and makes decisions. That's the problem. And the signal from customers, partners, and the Tableau field and product team was clear: people know they have a gap. They're just not sure how to close it. That's exactly what we're building at Delphina . Context is everything, and we're making it automatic. Huge thanks to everyone who took the time to connect and share. The conversation doesn't stop here. If we didn't connect or you want to go deeper on what we're building, let's talk.

David Spezia ha reaccionado a estoDavid Spezia ha reaccionado a estoStill buzzing from the incredible energy at #TableauConference! 🚀 I had the absolute honor of taking the stage to talk about a challenge that Enterprises face every day. By 2027, half of all business decisions will be guided by AI, but right now, a staggering 60% of AI projects will fail. The culprit? It's not the model. It's the DATA. AI is only as good as the data you feed it. During my session, "Data 360 & Tableau Next: Tips to Hit the Ground Running," we dove deep into how to fix this by building a trusted system of context. We explored how Tableau Next serves as the world's first agentic analytics platform, moving us away from passive dashboards and into immediate action. For those who couldn't make it, here is the 5-Step Framework we covered to help you hit the ground running: 1️⃣ Organisational alignment: It starts with finding one north star metric everyone agrees on. 2️⃣ Pick a use case: Focus on a specific outcome, not just a dashboard. 3️⃣ Identify your signals: Define the specific, actionable metrics that should trigger an action when they move. 4️⃣ Map your signals: Work backwards through the Data, Semantic, Visualization, and Action layers. 5️⃣ Low effort, Big impact: Pick the one question that, if answered faster, changes what your team does tomorrow. The best part? This isn't just theory. We looked at how Tokyo-based startup Leave a Nest used this exact approach to turn 4,500 hours of manual work into instant answers and boosted their analytics adoption from 10% to 80%! You don't need a massive migration to get started. With Zero Copy connectors, your data stays where it is while Data 360 and Tableau Semantics give it a business brain. Thank you to everyone who joined the session and made TC26 so special! 🙌 What was your biggest takeaway from the conference this year? Let's keep the conversation going in the comments! 👇 #TC26 #TableauConference #DataFam #TableauNext #Data360 #DataAndAIArchitect #Agentforce #AI #DataStrategy

There has been an overwhelmingly high interest in Golden since we announced less than a month ago. Its time to put on the rocket boosters and accelerate the momentum. Jon's a veteran of the analytics industry for more than 20 years having worked at Hyperion, Qlik, Tableau, Primer.ai and Kubit. He's seen every data revolution and is ready to drive the next one. Matt is the most AI-forward RevOps leader that I've met. He's seen data at Domino Data Lab and Kubit. He's seen scale at VMware. And he's now coming in to turbocharge Golden. LFG! 🔥

David Spezia ha reaccionado a estoDavid Spezia ha reaccionado a estoAfter an incredible chapter at Salesforce, I'm thrilled to share that I'm joining Anthropic to help bring frontier AI to the world in a way that benefits humanity. What drew me to Anthropic isn't just the technology, it's the values. A company built on the conviction that AI should be developed safely, thoughtfully, and in service of humanity's long-term interests. We're at a moment where the decisions made about AI will shape the trajectory of the planet for generations, and I want to spend the next chapter of my career helping get that right. Looking back, I'm extraordinarily proud of what we built with Data Cloud. Being the first sales leader on the ground and helping grow Salesforce's fastest organically grown product to $1B in revenue is something I'll never forget. That journey, from early conviction to category-defining scale, was only possible because of the exceptional people I had the privilege to build alongside. Massive thank you to Miguel Milano, thank you for showing me what great looks like. Your leadership style, your customer obsession, and your mentorship have been formative in ways I'll carry forward for the rest of my career. Watching you lead at scale taught me more than any playbook ever could To Aiysha Mubarik, Don Mardjonovic, Frank Zhao, Sandeep Aulakh and the rest of my Regulated Data Cloud family, thank you for building a truly world-class organization team. The bar you set for excellence, collaboration, and customer impact is something I'll carry with me into everything I do next. I have never been more impressed and honored to work with you all. Kaylin Voss, Lena Savitsky, and Sean Maayeh, thank you for your trust, and for creating an environment where my team and I could shine. The challenges we overcame and memories we created cannot be replicated. Grateful to have had fantastic leaders invest in that journey. To my partners in the trenches, Lizanne Kiel, Steve Dobbs, and John Cullinane. What we built together on Data 360 was nothing short of remarkable. Driving that business with you was a career highlight, and I'm proud of every record we broke, every standard we set, and every win we earned as a team. A huge thank you to Michael Hartman, Eleanor Dorfman, and Zubair Jandali for the warm welcome into Anthropic. I'm genuinely energized by the team, the mission, and what we're about to build together. Looking forward to the journey ahead. 🙏

David Spezia ha recomendado estoDavid Spezia ha recomendado estoSalesforce blessed us with a wellness day today. In light of Headless 360, I decided to get more hands-on with MCPs. Will share what the project is when it's live, but now that I've hit Claude Code's usage limit and can't do anything for 2 hours (UGH!) I'll say that so far I've: - Set up Claude Code for the first time - Github + Vercel + Supabase + Stripe - Deployed my first MCP server on web - Chunked a corpus of text for keyword search (for now - vector later) - Claude desktop can reach the MCP and get relevant content Next up: - Finish multi-tenant auth - Set up payment system - Quota gating - Iterate on the MCP tools - Create onboarding flow Not sure if I'll have this all done today but I should get close.

Salesforce drives innovation. But beneath the surface, misconfigurations, over-permissioned users, and ungoverned integrations silently accumulate risk. Governance isn’t just policy—it’s visibility, control, and real-time enforcement. Our ebook, “What You Can’t See Can Hurt You: The Guide to Governance in Salesforce,” breaks down the hidden vulnerabilities in Salesforce environments and what security-minded teams can do about them. Want to become a Salesforce Agentforce authority? Learn Claude first. Go deep into Claude code, configurations, best practices, etc. Learn what is needed to make Claude work the best for the use cases you have for Salesforce. Then tackle learning Agentforce. The best software practices usually don't come from within the Salesforce industry. It's on us to learn from these industries and then apply these practices to the tool we use the most. Good luck, you've got this! https://lnkd.in/eVJmK6xJ

The better the data, the smarter the Agent. Very exciting news: “In a world where every database speaks a different dialect of SQL, Waii’s metadata knowledge graph will create a unified semantic layer, enabling users and AI agents to understand and communicate with any data source while removing technical barriers to critical insights. We built Waii to close the gap between what people want to ask and what their data systems can understand,” said Gunther Hagleitner , co-founder and CEO, Waii

When your Salesforce data doesn’t show up in Snowflake the way it’s supposed to, everything slows down. Broken syncs. Out-of-date fields. Schema changes that don’t carry over. It’s frustrating—and way too common. That’s why we built the CapStorm Salesforce Connector. It runs directly in Snowflake, syncing your Salesforce data in near real-time, automatically handling schema changes, and keeping everything inside your environment. No third-party storage. No workarounds. Just a pipeline that works. If your current setup feels like it’s held together with duct tape, maybe it’s time for something better. Here’s how you can make it easier: https://hubs.ly/Q03s_Bjk0 #salesforce #data #dataprotection #datamanagement

Why spend hours troubleshooting Salesforce data and metadata when you can do it with a single prompt? One small change in your org can trigger hidden dependencies, break automations, or expose sensitive data — all because of limited visibility. Autopex simplifies it all with conversational intelligence. Just describe what you want, and it analyzes your org, detects dependencies, and executes safe operations — no Apex, no scripts. Smarter workflows. Safer orgs. Seamless Salesforce operations. If you’re willing to listen. Salesforce's $8 billion Informatica acquisition tells you exactly where enterprise integration is heading. CTOs have stopped asking "Do we need real-time?" They are asking, "Where are we still running batch, and what is that costing us?" Well, about $1.5 to $3 million annually per enterprise in lost opportunities. Revenue leakage is 5-10% from stale data. In e-commerce, data staleness erodes 20-30% of potential revenue. No wonder Salesforce paired Informatica with MuleSoft. No, Informatica is not replacing MuleSoft. They’re going to work together. 👉🏼 Informatica brings 30 years of batch ETL, data governance, and master data management. Historical data, compliance archives, bulk warehousing. 👉🏼 MuleSoft brings real-time API connectivity. Together, they cover "before, during, and after" AI workflows. ✅ Informatica handles the history. ✅ MuleSoft handles the now. ✅ Data Cloud connects them for AI agents that need both. You aren’t choosing batch or real-time. You’re getting the option for when each is mission-critical. 𝗦𝗼, 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲? For nightly reporting, compliance archives, and historical analytics. If the data feeds a dashboard someone checks once a day, batch works fine. The problem is defaulting to batch everywhere because that is what you built 10 years ago. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗻, 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻-𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹? For customer-facing operations, dynamic pricing, fraud detection, and live personalization. Anything where minutes cost money. Real-time APIs enable sub-second insights batch cannot match. Companies adopting real-time report 15-25% higher customer retention. API-led architectures deliver 5-10x faster integrations than ETL. In AI contexts, delayed data halves model accuracy. If your AI uses last night's batch run, you are flying blind. And if you think delayed integration isn’t critical? I have seen clients lose $2 million annually because inventory updates overnight, but e-commerce pricing updates in real time. Customers see products in stock that are not. Or prices that do not reflect inventory. That costs conversions. It costs trust. It costs revenue you cannot recover. Real-time fixes this by enabling proactive decisions. Studies show 2-4x ROI in agility for API adopters. Companies with real-time APIs are pulling ahead because their decision-making is faster. When your competitor adjusts pricing based on demand in real time and you adjust overnight, you lose margin. When their AI agents have live context and yours work from stale data, you lose customers. The Informatica-MuleSoft combination gives both capabilities. The governance and reliability of batch when appropriate. The speed and agility of real-time when critical. Follow me for more on integration strategies that drive business outcomes. #APIIntegration #ETL #DataGovernance #EnterpriseAI MuleSoft Community

Don Bulmer is right, the Informatica acquisition is about containment, not innovation. It highlights a truth many enterprises face: AI isn’t a CRM or analytics problem. It’s a data problem. When you try to stitch together fragmented data through brittle integrations or by cobbling together aging technologies, it will never deliver the trust, speed, or the context AI needs. The future belongs to enterprises that treat data as a living, connected system — unified, interoperable, and real-time. At Reltio, we’re helping companies modernize their data unification capabilities to power real-time Context Intelligence — so AI, analytics, and operations all run on trusted, current, and connected data. For enterprises now facing more uncertainty, this is the time to step forward. The next generation of AI leaders will be built on unified data that’s open, intelligent, and ready for anything. You can’t build the future of AI on yesterday’s data foundations.
