Still losing test data to flash drives and cryptic filenames? Your R&D team's expensive prototype validation work deserves better than ending up on the flash drive graveyard. This is a real problem that's not only frustrating but is also very costly. Critical sensor data gets trapped on local drives, transferred via USB sticks, and buried in spreadsheets until someone leaves the company, which is typically just the moment you need to find it. F1 teams solve this by streaming sensor data (1,000+ points/second) to centralized platforms immediately. Raw data lands in blob storage so its easy and available for reprocessing while processed data feeds into time-series databases for analytics. The key learning is to minimize failure points during ingestion. Local mistakes cause permanent data loss. Cloud processing mistakes can be fixed by rerunning data through established pipelines.
