Or seen a spike in rage clicks on a button that looked fine in testing? Without visibility into what users actually saw on screen, answering these questions means sifting through logs, reproducing scenarios, and still not being certain you've found the root cause. Today we're announcing Session Replay for Amazon CloudWatch Real User Monitoring (RUM) — now available for web applications at no additional cost. Session Replay lets your team watch a visual reconstruction of exactly what a user experienced in their browser. When a customer drops off mid-checkout, you can replay the session and see that a payment field wasn't rendering on mobile. When support logs show a surge in frustrated users, you can identify the broken navigation flow they kept hitting. It works alongside the RUM events you're already collecting — errors, page loads, and performance data — so you can go from spotting an issue in your dashboard to watching the session that caused it, without switching tools or manually reproducing the problem. From a single region, you can: → Audit telemetry configuration (logs, metrics, traces) across all your regions → Create enablement rules that apply to specific regions or all regions at once → Scope rules org-wide so every account stays consistent Example: one rule to enable VPC Flow Logs across every VPC, in every account, in every region. And when AWS launches a new region, rules set to "all regions" automatically expand to cover it. This is a big deal for platform and security teams who've been stitching together region-by-region telemetry configs manually. Available now in all commercial regions. Instead of maintaining dozens of near identical queries that only differ by a log level or service name, you create one template and pass values at runtime: $ErrorsByService(logLevel="ERROR", serviceName="OrderEntry") You can define up to 20 parameters per query, set default values, and even chain parameterized queries together for more complex analysis. If you've ever hit the 1,000 saved query limit per region or just gotten tired of scrolling through copies of the same query, this one's for you. Imaya Kumar Jagannathan shared thisAmazon CloudWatch Pipelines just got a lot smarter. You can now define conditions that control when a processor runs and which log entries it acts on. No more applying transformations uniformly across all your data — you pick what gets processed and what doesn't. This works across 21 processors including Add Entries, Delete Entries, Copy Values, Grok, and Rename Key. There's also a new Drop Events processor that lets you filter out unwanted log entries from third-party connectors before they hit CloudWatch. Less noise, lower costs. Both features are available at no additional cost in all Regions where CloudWatch Pipelines is GA. Yesterday, IBM dropped their new WebMethods Hybrid Integration, which brings some cool upgrades around unified API management and orchestration—now with AI to help out. This comes right in line with Gartner's prediction that API demand will jump by about 30% by 2026, mostly thanks to AI and tools using large language models (LLMs). It’s exciting to see how AI is really changing the way we use APIs and making them even more important moving forward.
