Jeff Beck liked thisJeff Beck liked thisI am very humbled and excited that I was able to share our Marriott Vacations Worldwide commercial strategy with the public markets this morning on our Q1 Earnings Call. Here are the key points from my prepared remarks in case you missed it. I joined Marriott Vacations Worldwide about three months ago, and I’ve spent that time deeply immersed in our business—working alongside our associates in the field, visiting sales centers, and engaging with investors. What’s become clear is that we have an exceptionally strong team, iconic brands, and a significant opportunity ahead—much of it firmly within our control. Over the past several months, we’ve implemented a new operating framework focused on driving higher-quality contract sales: strengthening operating discipline, expanding demand from new sources, increasing productivity from our existing infrastructure, and growing average transaction size. In the near term, we are already seeing results. We are building a high-performance sales and marketing organization, revitalizing leadership, reorganizing our field and marketing teams for speed and accountability, and aligning incentives directly to revenue growth and profitability. A new, data-driven approach to tour logistics is improving conversion and the overall sales experience—and it’s working. In April, our global contract sales increased 8% year over year. Powered by North America being up 11% year over year in April. At the same time, we are laying the foundation for durable, long-term growth. Enhancements to our owner loyalty program, the introduction of new buyer incentives, and the upcoming launch of our Inner Circle experiential event platform are designed to drive higher-quality tour flow, strengthen owner engagement, increase lifetime value, and support sustained growth in VPGs and EBITDA. The momentum across the organization is real. Top talent is returning, new leaders and sales talent are joining in record numbers, and operational execution continues to improve. Jeff Beck liked thisJeff Beck liked thisLast summer was full of plot twists: unexpectedly left a job and team I loved, then days later, found myself grieving swimming with penguins on a pre-booked trip to the Galapagos processing what to do next. I came back to open FY Comms with a leap of faith (pun intended) and hashtag blessed, my hospitality people showed UP. You kept me booked and busy, and I'm incredibly grateful. Working with Aqua-Aston Hospitality for the last year has been such a light-filled experience. The team's love for the Hawaiian Islands runs deep, and I like to think my words and storytelling left a meaningful mark on their websites, emails and social. Also seriously some of the kindest humans I've worked with - bar none. Then I signed on Convene Hospitality Group in February which drumroll please ... has turned into a full-time offer! As their first Director of Cultural Marketing + Communications, it's really come full circle getting back together with OG Kimpton leaders and teams who really know how to throw epic meetings and events. CHG is growing and taking a page from boutique hospitality in how we center on emotional touch points and human-first programming, and I'm so excited to be a part of its evolution. The new video game theme park will feature unlimited gaming for a single admission price, making it a dream come true for avid gamers. Visitors will also have access to a variety of shopping and dining options, making it a one-stop destination for entertainment. But what sets this theme park apart is the inclusion of real money eSports gaming, where players can compete for cash prizes in their favorite video games. Lee, a video game veteran with over 25 years of experience in the industry, is excited to bring this project to life. "I have always been passionate about video games and I believe that this theme park will be a game-changer in the industry.
