Jessica Franco reacted on thisJessica Franco reacted on thisDuring COVID, I read a book I didn’t expect to like: "The Surrender Experiment" by Michael Singer. The genre was a blend of Business and New Age—not exactly my usual cup of tea—but it shifted my perspective on the role the Greater Universe might play in our lives and our companies. My friend Jeffrey Chernick his wife Alix Gitter just released a new book that builds beautifully on these themes. It explores the idea that certain deals and relationships are constructed outside our immediate realm of understanding; that while the Universe can guide you, it needs a little something from you to work with. I’m honored that they included a chapter about my own journey in the book. Get yourself a copy! Link below.

Jessica Franco liked thisJessica Franco liked thisThe timeline for talent industry from 2020→2026. 2020–2023: Companies hired recruiters nonstop. Remote roles. Low bars. “We’ll train them.” End of 2023: Layoffs hit and Talent was cut first. Top performers included. No nuance. Just headcount math. I felt it personally. After being laid off from Meta, even with strong metrics and promotions, I couldn’t find a role. The function was suddenly “non-essential.” 2023–2024 Do whatever you can to survive. 2025–2026: Companies can’t hire good recruiters. Recycled job postings. They’re paying referral fees, leaning on agencies, and asking their network for help. This was always the outcome. You can’t treat Talent as disposable and expect it to be there when you need it again. Keep the good ones. Invest in the loyal ones. The market always comes back around. It’s a vicious cycle.

Jessica Franco reacted on thisJessica Franco reacted on thisAfter a year in stealth, we’re finally ready to share what we’re building at Manta Health. Over the last year, we’ve been obsessively studying the administrative tax in the US healthcare system that creates a massive bottleneck between a clinical decision and a patient’s treatment. We spent months analyzing the complexities of payer rules that medical practices need to navigate before a patient even receives treatment, and it is clear that paperwork—not medicine—is what’s standing in the way of the exam room. We built Manta Health to clear that path. We’re on a mission to modernize the pre-treatment workflow to speed up access to care and protect practice revenue. Our platform focuses on the core elements of clearing a patient for treatment: prior authorizations, eligibility + benefits, and prepayment collection. We are already processing over a thousand patients a week, proving that this isn’t just a theoretical problem—it’s a solvable one. I’m incredibly lucky to be building this with my co-founder, Allan Cutler, easily one of the most gifted engineering leaders I’ve ever worked with. Huge thanks to the team at Amplify.LA — Connor Sundberg, Paul Bricault, Nicholas Tosi, Tyler Adams, Jon Ringer, Stephen Ellsworth, Chris Miller (Ex-BCG), Wesley Gottesman, and Barrett Clark — for backing our $1.3M pre-seed round and believing in the mission from day one. If you’re running a practice and feeling the administrative burden, I’d love to chat. We’re just getting started.

Jessica Franco reacted on thisWe’re coming out of stealth at Manta Health. Practices don’t lose revenue because they provide poor care. They lose it because coverage details are unclear, verification is manual, and small misses turn into denials, rework, and delayed reimbursement. And the cost isn’t just financial. When teams are buried in eligibility checks, benefit details, payer portals, follow-up, and trying to collect the right patient payment at the right time, they have less time and energy to focus on patients. Manta Health is building an Intelligent Coverage Platform for coverage verification and revenue protection, so specialty practices can confirm coverage faster, reduce avoidable denials, and keep patients moving through care with fewer administrative delays. Our mission is simple: help practices deliver the best patient care possible by removing the labor-intensive coverage work that pulls teams away from the patient experience. We’re already supporting thousands of patients through the platform each week, which has given us a firsthand view into these real problems for practices. I’m grateful to have a fantastic co-founder, Conor Foley. We worked together at a previous organization, and over the last five years that partnership has grown into a real friendship. And a big thank you to those who believed in us early as we raised our $1.3M pre-seed: Amplify.LA - Connor Sundberg, Paul Bricault. Tyler Adams, Jon Ringer, Stephen Ellsworth, Nicholas Tosi, Wesley Gottesman, Chris Miller (Ex-BCG) and Barrett Clark. If you run operations, billing, or patient access at a specialty practice and want to reduce coverage friction, I’d love to connect. #revenuecycle #coverageverification #revenueprotection

I’m incredibly excited about the opportunity ahead and grateful to Ibrahim M., Andreas Ronneseth, Mike Rich, James Windrow, and Aleksandra Muntean for the partnership and trust as part of the executive team. Thank you Allan Untalan for introducing me to this opportunity. Looking forward to building, scaling, and shipping impactful things together. 🚀

Across Sacramento, organizations are investing heavily in employer branding, recruitment marketing, and talent acquisition strategies to attract talent. These efforts help create awareness and increase applicant flow. However, attracting talent and securing top talent are not the same. Recruiting Future

TA is evolving. But are we measuring what actually matters? The talent market is full of contradictions. Hiring is happening, but it’s cautious. Candidates want more clarity. Employers are taking longer to make decisions. AI is everywhere in the conversation, but still nowhere near full adoption. Through it all, TA is changing. The best teams are thinking about skills, internal mobility, and workforce planning, not just filling roles. However, many are still reporting on time to hire and cost per hire, metrics that track activity rather than impact. So how should TA functions prove their value? What should be measured if the goal is real business influence? My guest on Episode 766 of Recruiting Future is Bharat Siyani, VP of People and Culture at Elmo Software. In our conversation, Bharat outlines what impact really looks like, which metrics actually matter, and how TA can position itself as a strategic partner in the business. We discuss: • The contradictions in today’s talent market • Finding the signal in the noise • Understanding nuance in recruiting decisions • What AI should do versus what humans must own • Moving beyond efficiency metrics • Measuring value, outcomes, and long-term fit • Tech hiring in a volatile landscape • Skills, context, and redefining roles • TA’s role in shaping the workforce • What the TA team of the future might look like 🎧 Listen by searching Recruiting Future wherever you get your podcasts #JoinTheConversation

The Right Recruiting Partner Doesn’t Just Fill Roles. They Build Trust. Strong #recruiting partnerships aren’t transactional. They’re built through consistency, transparency, and follow-through. When expectations are clear, communication is honest, and quality is prioritized over volume, hiring becomes more efficient, and outcomes improve. The goal isn’t just to hire quickly, but to hire well, with confidence on both sides. That’s the standard I bring to every search. #RecruitingPartner #TalentStrategy #DirectHire #BelleLynnSourcingLLC

TALNT Team

Strong recruiting partnerships don’t replace internal teams. They strengthen them. At Bumble, TALNT Team supported multiple Talent Acquisition roles while operating as a true extension of the in-house function. The focus wasn’t just speed, it was delivery, context, and long-term impact. When recruiting partners understand the realities of internal TA, execution improves, ramp time shortens, and hiring becomes a stabilizing force instead of a reactive one. We’re grateful for the trust and partnership. #TalentAcquisitionLeadership #HiringStrategy #RecruitingPartnership #WorkforceExecution #ExecutiveHiring"

Strategic Employment Partners (SEP)

The best partnerships don’t stop once the job description is written. True recruiting partners challenge assumptions, share market intelligence, and help you see around corners. They know when to push back and when to lean in. Because great hiring isn’t about filling seats; it’s about building teams that drive growth. If your recruiter isn’t adding strategic value, it might be time to raise the bar.
