Jeffrey Fermin shared thisI’m ending my hiatus from short form videos … came back to tell you something that nobody outside of HR is talking about: HR people get threatened. like, actually threatened. followed home. screamed at. shown up to the office by ex-employees with weapons. nearly every HR person I’ve talked to has a story. things are hard out there. but hard times are exactly when we need to stay civil, stay kind, and remember the person on the other side of all of this is human too.

Jeffrey Fermin shared this“Slop” was Merriam-Webster’s word of 2025. It’s not just AI. It’s everything. Food bowls. Design trends. Websites. Videos. Pants from fast-fashion sites. Everything thrown together quickly just to get more eyes so a company can monetize it The constant slop overload led to another word being made up: “enshittification” Everything feels worse. Products can be absolute garbage and have high price points. Service is worse. Every post on social has the same pattern, the same exact framework, the same stuff … spun up and done different. So, what comes next? Well … We’re going to have to start trying. We’re going to need to start being more creative. We will embrace failure again! Our small weaknesses, posting a blurry photo, leaving the “uhms” in your recordings, being awkward, having the first version of something out look ugly, any and every small possible human error … It’s going to be cool, notable, and shareworthy. It’ll be appreciated. We will move past downplaying how great, unique, silly, joyful, and amazing we are. I TRULY believe the post AI slop era will lead to a renaissance of creativity. We’ll be writing and making stuff, and we won’t try and feed a machine books so it can spin up a different version of it for a post. So, like Michelangelo, Frida, Madonna, Da Vinci and any of the cool weirdos that made society advance … Let’s start being confident in our creations and all of their imperfections. Being human is awesome. Go make cool and unique stuff Sincerely, A bald, bearded, unicorn 🦄 I’ll leave you with this very simple quote from ASAP Rocky …

Jeffrey Fermin shared thisSo, HR, you've been here right? You need to gather everything on one situation. The manager is spamming you with context. Where does it all live? Emails. Docs. Spreadsheets. Videos. Images. And a note tied to a raven's foot. None of it secure. None of it searchable. Try AllVoices, you can even use email-to-case feature. Simply, forward it to the case. It organizes itself. AI breaks down the situation. Surfaces patterns. Flags risk. Recommends next steps. Loop in the right people. Move the case forward. One centralized view. One source of truth. No having to look at dozens of files sent via e-mail.

Jeffrey Fermin shared thisTomorrow, "it's gonna be May" So, I'm bringing "sexy back" ... okay, maybe not "sexy" ... But I want to bring back building in public. Remember waaay back in the day (2021) when builders and internet nerds would push stuff out on the web for feedback? Well, I just launched a brand new homepage for AllVoices with Enrique Cartas, Bruno Ishii, and Emily Fenech,. This is obviously v1, but we are now going to iterate and make it better. And I really want to hear from you. We are constantly getting feedback on our product and our messaging, and we think this kind of lets people know what we do ... in a fun and interesting way way. So, my ask, if you're in HR -- take a minute, check it out, and let me know if we're missing anything. Oh, and if you're a designer, check it out too, I'm always open to learn how we can tweak things up. But this is a pretty good time for the AV team, we have so many exciting things coming up. I'm glad we pushed this out.

Jeffrey Fermin shared thisI promise this isn't me trying to have a provocative hook ... I truly believe "employee experience" is dead. Gallup dropped their engagement report. I'm going to keep it a buck, I didn't read it, because I can already guess: Employee satisfaction is lower and we're losing billions in productivity. lmk if that isn't the case, so I can delete this. If my guess is right chances are it's because we're seeing some of the biggest companies politely tell their employees "you ain't crap, just produce for us until you can't anymore, then we'll replace you." The 1920s ended in the Great Depression for a reason. Overproduction. Income inequality. A workforce squeezed until it snapped. 100 years later, white collar work is running that same playbook. And nobody at the top is acting like they've read the history book. ⦿ Corporations are speed running into failure ⦿ Governments are egging the corporations on ⦿ Should note, 1 in 4 unemployed folks have been out in the market for 6 months If you're feeling squeezed, just know, it's being designed this way. And no one is coming to save you. If you're working full-time somewhere right now, it better be for one of two reasons: 💰 You're earnin' 📚 You're learnin' Ideally both if you can swing it. If not, start working on something that is helping you build that portfolio career. Build that exit strategy. I guarantee you, most companies do not want to pay you. They want to squeeze every drop of productivity out of you for as little as possible. Then remove you when it's done. Heck, even if you're a developer, you are essentially learning skills to replace yourself or your coworkers. The rules are changing. When the biggest corporations create a dog-eat-dog world all the smaller ones will follow suit. You will have to ensure that you can keep a roof over your head. One last prediction: white collar work will hit rock bottom. Society is sprinting to it. But if you're learning how to use a pick axe, you'll be ready to bust out first. Build them skills and be ready to come out the other side okay. -- Hi, I'm Jeffrey Fermin. I've come out of rock bottom before. Oh, and I started one of the first employee engagement survey tools 15 years ago. I ain't ever seen things this bad."

Jeffrey Fermin shared thisA quiet rule I've been using for AI at work. If you don't know how to do the thing, don't use AI to do the thing. Not because AI is bad at it. Because taste, skill and know-how is the actual job. ⦿ Knowing what to keep. ⦿ Knowing what to cut. ⦿ Knowing why a sentence lands or a strategy holds. An LLM can't do that for you. It just gives you more of whatever you already are doing. Good, creative operators get sharper. Everyone else just gets faster at creating AI slop. (yes, AI helped me edit this. that's the point.)

We got into Zapier's AI code-red moment from March 2023, how we built our hub-and-spoke operating model for AI transformation, and why the most important AI-related work isn't about the tech stack at all. Jeffrey Fermin reacted on thisJeffrey Fermin reacted on thisI am not okay. I returned back to work yesterday and several people have asked me, “Are you okay?” after losing a loved one. My answer has been: I am not okay, but I will be. I’ve cried so much over the last 72 hours that I feel like I don’t have any tears left. All of the things that once felt urgent or important no longer feel like a priority. It’s been hard to get out of bed. I don’t have an appetite. I’ve shown up for work and physically I am there, but mentally I am zoned out and just going through the motions. I had a brand campaign that was supposed to go live this week, and I asked the brand to push it back because I am not in the right headspace and I’m not going to pretend that I am. Grief changes your perspective on life. The things we stress over every day suddenly feel so small when you’re faced with loss. It reminds you how important it is to slow down, love on your people, and give yourself grace during hard seasons. It’s okay to not be okay.

Marketers aren’t fixing the funnel - they’re funding it. 67% of GTM leaders increased paid budgets this year. Almost half did it to replace lost organic pipeline. That’s not strategy. That’s triage. And it raises a tough question: Are we solving attribution... or buying temporary visibility? When paid covers your blind spots: → You stop fixing broken handoffs → You skip over disappearing buyer signals → You build a funnel with no foundation This is the hidden cost of misattribution. Not just wasted budget, but missed insight. The best GTM teams aren’t just spending more, they’re getting smarter: ✔ Rebuilding trust in their data ✔ Aligning around what’s actually working ✔ Making performance visible across the org Because when the budget dries up, only the insights survive.

SALES ACTIVATOR

“The Partner Ecosystem Is Broken - And Everyone Knows It.” Every vendor wants partner-sourced pipeline. Every partner program brags about ecosystem reach. Every portal is full of content. Yet… Only a small handful of partners ever generate revenue. Most never activate. MDF sits unclaimed. Programs collapse under their own complexity. Playbooks are unread. Partners drown in 20+ competing vendors. Ecosystems stall. This isn’t a skills issue. It isn’t a motivation issue. It isn’t a “train them more” issue. It’s a structural issue. Partners don’t need more information. They need Activation - guided, signal-driven, execution-layer support that removes friction and makes next steps obvious. Today, we’re introducing a new category: Partner Activation. Not enablement. Not training. Not portals. Activation. The system that turns dormant partners into active revenue engines. 👉 Over the next 4 posts, I’ll walk through the full Activation model AND release our hero asset - “The Activation Advantage” - the definitive white paper on how modern ecosystems actually grow. The era of passive enablement is over. The era of Activation is here. #PartnerActivation #ChannelSales #EcosystemGrowth #GoToMarket #B2BSaaS #RevOps #SalesActivator #PartnerActivation #EcosystemLedGrowth #PartnerEcosystem #ActivationAdvantage

Most ABM programs don’t fail because of targeting — they fail because the content isn’t built for the accounts you’re trying to win. This carousel breaks down a clear framework to fix the content gap in ABM: ✔️ Strong core team ✔️ Dedicated ABM content marketer ✔️ High-impact, account-aligned content When these three pieces work together, ABM becomes a revenue engine — not just a strategy on paper. #ABM #AccountBasedMarketing #B2BMarketing #ContentMarketing #DemandGen #RevenueMarketing #SalesAndMarketing #MarketingStrategy

10 Ways to REALLY Get Sales & Marketing Alignment Built for marketers who want to win with sales, not just sit in the same room. 1. 🎯 Start with Sales' Real Pipeline, Not a Persona Go beyond ICP theory. Ask sales: "Which live or stalled accounts would benefit from senior-level air cover or multi-threading?" 2. 🔍 Look for Friction, Not Just Fit Prioritize accounts where there's internal urgency, misalignment, or a stuck deal ...not just demographic checkboxes. 3. 📈 Surface Buying Signals Sales Can't See Track content engagement, intent data, hiring patterns, and tech investments. Surface the "shadow interest" that sales doesn't have visibility into. 4. 🗺️ Help Sales Multi-Thread Strategically ABM should create pathways to power. Help reps reach key executives by mapping stakeholders and equipping them with tailored narratives. 5. 💬 Build Messaging with Sales, Not for Them Learn what resonates in executive conversations. Co-create positioning that captures real objections, real use cases, and real language from the field. 6. 🔁 Run Quarterly Strategic Account Reviews Review top ABM accounts with sales. Focus on traction, perception shifts, and momentum, beyond basic engagement metrics. 7. 🧭 Prioritize Accounts with Expansion Potential Identify customers showing value in one business unit, region, or division, then partner with sales to expand that footprint. 8. 🎤 Spot Champions & Alumni Moves Monitor former buyers changing roles and internal champions likely to advocate. These warm leads are sales gold. 9. 🤝 Treat Sales as Strategic Partners, Not Service Requesters Include them early. Share market insights. Demonstrate how their input shapes strategy. Make collaboration natural, not transactional. 10. 🧠 Align on the End Goal: Revenue, Not MQLs Success means more deals, faster closes, and better-fit customers. Focus on pipeline influence, deal velocity, and executive engagement ...not vanity metrics. Ready to put this checklist into action? You don't have to go it alone. Our *Signal to Sale* ABM module transforms sales-marketing alignment from aspiration to operation. It helps you: >Spot real engagement patterns, not just clicks >Turn insights into action with account briefs and messaging prompts >Empower sales teams with live conversation hooks and enablement >Collaborate with AEs to optimize deal strategy and timing For teams serious about high-value deals and true sales collaboration, this is the infrastructure that makes it happen. The most expensive part of your marketing team isn’t headcount. It’s false confidence. The deck looks clean. The calendar is full. The team is “aligned.” But you don’t feel it. No signal. No shift in pipeline velocity. No shift in conviction. It’s not a content problem. It’s not even a strategy problem. It’s an infrastructure gap. Your system doesn’t learn. Your system doesn’t close the loop. Your system doesn’t adapt. And the worst part? You can’t afford to burn another quarter on "looking busy." / conversional.io /
