“There is a holy grail when discussing the relationship between agencies and brands. A flow that occasionally happens, melding every brand partner into a unified entity. That team, that singular and iconic belief in the potential of a brand, is what I discovered when I started working with Loren and Audi of America. Looking through the marketing Loren led in those years will provide evidence of how this relationship leads to one-of-a-kind, meaningful, brand-defining work. But what I want to stress here is how that unification comes about. It’s not by chance. It doesn’t just happen. It has to be created and nurtured. Constantly refined, inspired, and challenged. That is what I learned from Loren, how to build a shared vision and unite multiple departments, agencies, and even countries into being the best they can be. Over the years, as our relationship developed, I grew closer with Loren and was able to peek behind the curtain to witness all he put into each agency partner to make that flow happen. I saw how he built a shared language not just around the Audi brand, but the car category, and the very idea of what modern luxury was becoming. I saw him push for innovation as a core value in all thinking, storytelling, media, and partnerships. And most inspiring of all, I saw him stay hungry. With each interaction, he approached his partners with curiosity and excitement, remaining human while constantly driving the business forward. As a strategic thinker, an agency Creative Director, and a team leader, I value every back and forth I’ve had with Loren. And I can’t wait to have the opportunity to do it again.”
