Recapping everything, figuring out ownership, building a clean agenda—it could easily take an hour. It was Friday at 5 PM, I had just finished an important planning session for an upcoming event—finalizing speakers, sessions, and timing. But I also had a pickleball game at 6. ⏱️ Instead of scrambling, I used Microsoft 365 Copilot. In one prompt, Copilot drafted a complete follow-up email, built a structured event agenda with time slots and session descriptions, and pulled out all action items with clear owners. A few quick edits… sent. Done. What used to take an hour took about five minutes. And yes—I made it to pickleball on time. Steve Sharpless reacted on thisSteve Sharpless reacted on thisA Meaningful Transition: CEO to Chairman After over 30 years of leadership in the Microsoft partner ecosystem and more than 10 years building Quisitive, I have decided to retire as CEO and transition into the role of Chairman of the Board. This moment brings a mix of pride, gratitude, and reflection. Building Quisitive has been the most meaningful chapter of my professional life. Together, we set out to create a premier, pure-play Microsoft Cloud and AI partner, and through the passion and commitment of our team, we’ve built one of the leading Microsoft services organizations in North America. What I’m most proud of is not just what we’ve built as a company, but the impact we’ve made for our customers and the culture we’ve created along the way. I’ve been fortunate to work alongside incredible colleagues, partners, customers, and teams throughout my career, thank you for your trust and support along the way. I would like to personally thank Tami Anders, Steven Balusek, John Jacobus, Bryan Blain, LuAnne Miller, and the entire Quisitive team for their belief in me and the vision we launched 10 years ago. Our partnership with Microsoft has been at the core of everything we’ve built. I’m especially grateful for the close alignment across strategy, go-to-market, and innovation, most recently around AI, which has enabled us to help customers navigate one of the most significant technology shifts of our time and deliver meaningful business outcomes. Steve Sharpless reacted on thisSteve Sharpless reacted on thisLast week, I shared that I've started capturing my ideas out loud in a Copilot Notebook (I am a bit disappointed Copilot Cowork can't read them… hopefully soon🤞). Anyway, I have realized a change in my behavior overall. Now, I'm not just talking to myself - I'm talking to my apps. A small example from today. I was working in Excel and noticed that a few rows weren't part of my table, so they disappeared the moment I filtered. Classic. I know exactly how to fix it - extend the table, reapply the filter. Two minutes, tops. But instead, I asked Copilot in Excel to do it. Done in seconds. The "Edit" mode of Copilot in Excel has come a long way from the early rollout. It's genuinely useful now - not just for fixing things like this, but for building templates, charts, and dashboards from scratch. So if you have a Microsoft 365 Copilot Premium license, my tip for the week is simple: 👉 Stop doing the small Excel work yourself. Talk to Copilot. Let it do the lifting.
