Todd Eccles shared thisThis is why we started Andy’s Farm. Going back to our roots.Todd Eccles shared thisThis Labor Day, we are especially grateful to see the pendulum of "perfect, instant, and identical" swing towards the other direction. It wasn't long ago that... manufacturing was better than homemade, sterile was better than living, education was better than common sense, laboratory was better than the kitchen, the city was better than the country, flashy was better than authentic, imported was better than domestic. The future was cool, and the past was not. Today, we recognize that Nature is not too slow, She is not too inefficient. Nature is perfect, and the opportunity to work with her everyday is a pleasure.

Todd Eccles shared thisCrazy! Apple, Jobs is turning over in his grave right now, fix it!!Todd Eccles shared thisThere should at least be a standard of double jeopardy when it comes to the app store monopoly regimes. If you’ve managed to overturn a rejection of your service once, they can’t come after you on the same service again later. We could have used that today! Because HEY is back on trial in their kangaroo court. This time with our new calendar feature, HEY Calendar, which we dared make a separate app. After spending 19 days to review our submission, causing us to miss a long-planned January 2nd launch date, Apple rejected our stand-alone free companion app “because it doesn’t do anything”. That is because users are required to login with an existing account to use the functionality. This is a ridiculous charge. The App Store is filled with high-profile applications that require an existing service account and simply presents a login screen when first launched. Here are just four: Salesforce, JPMorgan, Netflix, and Google Calendar. All greet the user with the same gate: Login with your existing account. But none of this even matters. Nowhere in the Apple App Store Guidelines is there a prohibition on apps that require preexisting accounts! The only ruleset that’s relevant to this discussion is that which governs who has to use in-app payments and who can avoid it: "3.1.3(f) Free Stand-alone Apps: Free apps acting as a standalone companion to a paid web based tool (eg. VOIP, Cloud Storage, Email Services, Web Hosting) do not need to use in-app purchase, provided there is no purchasing inside the app, or calls to action for purchase outside of the app." As you can see, Email Services are specifically mentioned because HEY fought this battle once already back in 2020. HEY Calendar is a free companion app to that very same service. But Apple has become so emboldened by a decade+ of monopoly reign that they don’t even feign a superficial adherence to their own rules. They carve out exceptions left and right to mega corporations they’d rather not anger, then invent entirely new rules that aren’t codified anywhere when it suits them, and finally rebuts every demand for consistency and predictability with “just submit your app and we’ll review”. This is intolerable. Hopefully our example, and the countless others we’ve seen over the years, will finally force competition authorities around the world to act. We have the Digital Markets Act coming in the EU in just a couple of months. That could very well be a game-changer. So too could the lawsuit by the American Department of Justice that was just revealed to be imminent today. The last time the DOJ sued Microsoft in the late 90s/early 2000s, it inflicted a serious wound on Redmond’s capacity to capture markets, which gave us the rise of Google, Apple, and others. Hopefully that will happen again and a thousand free-market flowers will bloom once no longer deprived of access to sun, water, and customers. https://lnkd.in/gqN4rvueApple rejects the HEY Calendar from their App StoreApple rejects the HEY Calendar from their App Store

Todd Eccles shared thisI just got starlink for our farm. This is crazy what they are doing to rural America and Elon specifically. We should not support a government that persecutes citizens through its agencies.Todd Eccles shared thisStarlink was given a contract by the FCC in 2020 to bring Internet access to 640,000 Americans in 35 states by 2025. But yesterday the FCC took this contract away and replaced it with...nothing. What does this accomplish other than deprive 640k Americans from Internet access? Does this make America better or worse? A lot of people, including an FCC Commissioner, find the decision and rationale a head-scratcher. When you make decisions that negatively impact a lot of Americans for no clear reason, its important to clearly explain why. Otherwise, people will speculate. And in this case, they are speculating that this is directed political harassment of Elon.

Todd Eccles shared thisWell this statistic is going in the wrong direction.Todd Eccles shared thisThis is a sad trend for people and society. It’s been proven for many years now: building a committed relationship with one person and then raising children in that nuclear two-parent family contributes more to creating healthy, happy adults and a well functioning society than anything else (ie wealth vs poverty, health history, zip code, race). So the implication of the trend below, if it doesn’t self correct are terrible for society as a whole: 1) there will be more and more promiscuity and, as a byproduct, fewer kids born 2) what few kids we do have will grow up in non two parent households It may seem “fun” and “free” to be a 20/30 something with a roster, but many of these folks will wake up alone, too late to act on the simple truth that being in a committed relationship and having kids is not an indulgence of a thriving society but a requirement.

Todd Eccles liked thisTodd Eccles liked thisI realize I’m posting this at 7pm on a Friday night, probably the worst possible time to share something on LinkedIn. And maybe that’s fitting. I haven’t been posting regularly for a while. But today I had a conversation that stuck with me. I reconnected with someone who used to be on my team. We spent time working through how they tell their story. What makes them tick, what motivates them, what truly drives them. As I helped them shape their narrative, I found myself asking the same question What drives me? What allows me to perform at my best? The answer is simple. It’s the people around me. It’s the energy that comes from building something meaningful together. It’s the satisfaction of driving a great outcome - for the team, for the company, and for the customer who is counting on us to help them grow and make an impact in their space. It’s hearing a genuine thank you. It’s making a connection. It’s watching someone stretch, grow, and realize they’re capable of more than they thought. Whether it’s a client, a colleague, or someone I have the privilege to lead, helping others achieve their best is what fuels me. I’ve come to believe that leadership, at its core, is service. When you focus on elevating others, results have a way of following. Performance becomes a byproduct of purpose. So here’s my encouragement, especially on a quiet Friday night Find what truly motivates you. Lean into it. Do it exceptionally well. The results will come. And in the process, you may help more people than you ever expected. #FindYourBestYou #FindYourMotivation

However, there is nothing quite like meeting up in person and I'm grateful for the opportunity when it arises to meet face-to-face and collaborate with my amazing teammates. I'm extremely fortunate to get to work with such bright, supportive, kind, and talented people. Bonus: We also like each other and have a lot of fun when we're together!

Todd Eccles liked thisTodd Eccles liked thisOur design patents have been filed, and we can now show the final design for the Switchblade flying sports car. This first image is how the Switchblade will look while driving. We have already started building the first of three production test vehicles that will be tested intensively while we set up for serial production. These first vehicles will be built at our R&D facility using fixtures and jigs that we will transfer to our initial production facility in the near future. The nose radiator inlet takes advantage of the high-pressure air on the nose, as most automobiles do. Our radiator outlet is at the base of the windshield and takes advantage of the aerodynamics of that area to produce a slight net thrust from the radiator system. This, along with the aerodynamic advantages of the final body shape, have reduced drag by over 2% from the already sleek design we validated in the wind tunnel in May of 2024. We will reveal more images over the coming days and weeks to further show the benefits and design statement achieved for production. As the Switchblade is a high-performance vehicle in both driving and flying modes, it is intended to look the part. We have exceeded our expectations on the ground with 125+ mph speeds. The wind tunnel verified that we can now achieve our design cruise speed in the air of 160 mph. Celebrate the future!

I was in the Parks and Recreation College which was ranked #1 in the U.S. at the time. I wanted to have my own outdoor retail store and recreation services, like REI. I was the President of our School Ski Team and was very involved with Adventure Outings as a guide.

“When my IT business had grown to the point where I was opening a 2nd office I began looking for a Customer Relationship Management solution that would integrate with QuickBooks® Online. I wanted to get rid of the “literal paper trail” totally. After several weeks of searching, the customer relations department at QuickBooks had suggested we take a look at ServiceSidekick. We started off with a trial version and then moved on to the full version. I began working with Todd Eccles who is one of the principals at ServiceSidekick. With his help we customized some of the features of the program to meet our needs. I found Todd to be extremely knowledgeable and very easy to work with. His personal past experience of being in a service business was a very valuable component. He understood the type of tools needed to manage my type of services. His online solution is extremely user friendly and when there are any types of issues his support team is always there to assist. As ServiceSidekick develops new features …we automatically get the updates. The best feature for my purpose is the ability to check the status of any job or client information anytime from anywhere in the world via a computer, an iPad, or iPhone. All you need is an internet connection. There are no additional hidden costs involved. Todd Eccles and his ServiceSidekick team are one of the best! If you want to “go green” call the ServiceSidekick team!”

Warm leads need structure, not pressure. In SRS, a “warm” seller gets content based on their persona and readiness score, not a generic drip. That's how you stay helpful without chasing. #SellerReadinessSystem #SalesAutomation #BusinessBroker #LeadGeneration #PipelineManagement https://lnkd.in/eQxFheNQ

Your Systems are Lying to YOU! Contact Biltmore Management Advisors, Biltmorema.com Sales@biltmorema.com Your CRM says the deal is worth $150K and the customer is happy. Your ERP says production is three weeks late. Your accounting system says they haven't paid their last two invoices. Three systems. Three truths. Zero coordination. Nobody in the building sees all three facts at the same time. So sales keeps pushing, production keeps apologizing, and finance keeps sending past-due notices — all in isolation. The customer, meanwhile, is forming one unified opinion about your company. And it isn't good. This is the problem we built the Total Business Platform to solve. Not another monolithic suite that takes 18 months to implement. Not another pile of disconnected point solutions. A composable architecture that connects best-in-class tools — your CRM, ERP, and accounting platform — through real-time data sync, then layers AI intelligence across the entire stack. The result: by 8AM every morning, you have a unified briefing that synthesizes customer health, production status, and financial position into prioritized actions. I wrote up the full approach in the attached article — including the three-tier model that lets you start at ~$200/month and scale from there. If you're a manufacturer or distributor in the $5M–$100M range who's tired of logging into three systems to figure out what's actually happening — this was written for you. #DigitalTransformation #Manufacturing #AI #ERP #CRM #BusinessIntelligence #SaaS

Many business owners get denied for funding not because their business is bad, but because they’re making silent business credit mistakes. Here are some of the most common ones I see: ❌ Mixing personal and business credit ❌ Using an SSN instead of an EIN ❌ No proper business structure ❌ No reporting vendor accounts ❌ Applying for credit too early ❌ Late or inconsistent payments Business credit is a system. If you skip the foundation, lenders will say NO — every time. The good news? These mistakes are 100% fixable with the right setup and strategy. If you want to: ✔ build real business credit ✔ avoid denials ✔ position your business for higher limits & funding 📩 DM “BUILD” for a FREE business credit roadmap. #businesscredit #businessfunding #entrepreneurship #llcsetup #ein #creditstrategy #financialliteracy #smallbusinessgrowth # #fyp #CreditBuilding #FinancialLiteracy #FundingSolutions #SmallBusinessGrowth #Leadership #FinanceStrategy #SmartMoneyMoves #EntrepreneurLife #SmallBusinessFunding #MoneyGoals #FinancialFreedom #WealthBuilding #FundingApproved #CreditTips #CFOvibes #TikTok #Meme #Trending #Viral #FundingStrategy #SmallBusinessTips #CreditScoreBoost

You: SBA loans aren't for startups. They're for people like you. Think: "I have a job, savings, good credit. Why can't I leverage that?" Act: You can. SBA 7(a) loans are designed for people with stable income and capital. Service businesses are the fastest path to profitability. The numbers: $50K–$100K investment. $300K–$700K first-year revenue. $3K–$15K monthly profit by month 6. The catch: You need a real plan. Real market validation. Real operator execution. Disclaimer: Loan approval and business success depend on individual financial profile, market conditions, and execution. Past client results do not guarantee your outcomes. Consult with lenders and business advisors about your specific eligibility and prospects. You've built a career. Now build an asset. #SBALoans #ServiceBusiness #BusinessFunding #Entrepreneurship #WealthBuilding

296 leads in 30 days. Home improvement client in the U.S. Average CPL: $16.88 Reach: 339,000+ homeowners Most people see numbers like this and say: “Great, the ads are working.” But leads alone do not build a remodeling business. Booked estimates do. What actually made this work: • Clear homeowner-focused offer • Lead forms designed for speed and intent • Campaigns optimized for conversions, not clicks • Budget pushed only into ads producing leads • Fast follow-up so inquiries did not go cold Most contractors think they need more traffic. They do not. They need a better system behind the ads. Because ads generate interest. Systems turn that interest into real jobs.

Here’s something multi-unit franchise owners need to know: One franchise location brings its challenges. 5+ units? That's where complexity multiplies 🏢 Standard franchisor systems work for single units — but fall short for multi-unit operations. Multi-unit owners need extra systems for: ▪️ Financial tracking across locations ▪️ Cross-location staff management ▪️ Operations oversight The winning formula I've observed: ✔️ Build custom systems for multi-unit control ✔️ Keep franchisor tools for brand alignment ✔️ Connect both for peak performance This approach cuts confusion, saves time, and creates clear scaling paths 💪 Smart multi-unit owners go beyond basic franchisor tools. They implement complementary systems for real control across locations. 👉 This is where I step in. I help multi-unit franchisees build systems that make managing multiple locations simple, efficient, and stress-free. Are you using basic franchisor tools or creating systems to run your empire? 🤔 Share your approach below, let's discuss your multi-unit strategy. #Franchise #MultiUnit #Operations #BusinessGrowth #AssistualUK
