#AIJourneyWithMaheshRaja post #8 its been a while I wrote on my core ( AI ) Most of you know that like in any organization we at Conscendo paving our way to become an AI driven organization on par with Industrial paradigm shift that is happening, We too feel the pressure of "AI FOMO ( Feelingof Missing Out )." We see the headlines and feel we need to implement something immediately. But rushing in without a roadmap often leads to failed POCs and, more importantly, lot of invalid learning and may be a risk-scoring of breach of customer trust Here are my three main takeaways on how to approach AI the right way: 1. Identify Bottlenecks, 2. Plan for Fool proof Trust Layer 3. Nominate an AI focal point in the organization 1) In my experience with AI, The most successful AI implementations don’t start with the technology; they start with the team on the ground, check "Where and What are our bottlenecks", 2.) If AI team can’t guarantee that our proprietary data won’t be used to train public models, the risk to our brand is too high. 3) Appoint an AI Champion AI isn't just an "IT project." It requires a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) who understands both the business goals and the technical limitations. Without a dedicated champion to navigate the "hallucinations" and refine the outputs, projects often stall at the demo stage. Let’s stop racing to be first and start racing to be the most reliable. Generative AI and Character Design: An overview of Zuraverse's Approach I had a fascinating conversation with my best buddy, Abhishek Sagar , the founder of Zuraverse.xyz, about how his team leverages generative AI for character design. It's a complex challenge, especially for a gaming platform with thousands of unique, NFT-based characters that need to maintain consistency while remaining true to their core identity. Abhishek shared some great insights, particularly their method of creating highly descriptive character prompts. Instead of generic descriptors, they use multi-layered strategy for character design consistency: • Prompt Engineering: They use a "recipe" of descriptive elements for each character. This goes beyond just physical appearance and includes: • Core Visuals: Specific details on body shape, color palette, unique markings (scars, tattoos), and accessories (a glowing sword, a specific type of armor). • Personality & Emotional Cues: Describing a "mischievous rogue with a sly grin" or a "somber sorceress with a furrowed brow" helps the AI generate consistent facial expressions and body language. • Style Cues: They include instructions to maintain a specific art style, whether it's "hyper-realistic," "anime-style," or "dark fantasy," to ensure all characters in a specific game universe look cohesive. • Reference Images: In addition to text, Zuraverse uses a core set of reference images for each character. This allows the AI to learn and replicate a character's "look and feel" with much greater accuracy, even when generating the character in new situations, poses, or wearing different outfits. • Agentic AI for Iteration: Abhishek also gave me a sneak peek into his journey with agentic AI. They are not just using a simple text-to-image generator. They're building AI agents that can take the initial character prompt and a set of rules, and then autonomously iterate on the design. This would allow the system to generate hundreds of variations—different outfits, poses, and expressions—while ensuring each one adheres to the character's core design principles. This isn't just theory—it's a practical application of AI by industry experts to tackle a real-world problem. Abhishek also promised that he will be sharing more details in the form of hands-on examples and podcasts in the coming weeks for the benefit of new explorers in his field. In the months since, the pace of change has been remarkable. Platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Dremio, RisingWave, ClickHouse, Cloudera, Lakekeeper, Trino Software Foundation, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have delivered significant new integrations, and Apache Iceberg itself has reached version 1.10.0, introducing capabilities that reshape how practitioners interact with the format. To reflect this momentum, we are undertaking a ground-up rewrite. Our priorities include: ✅ Iceberg 1.10.0 alignment and deprecation cleanup – removing outdated recipes that no longer reflect best practices while upgrading all demos, examples, and exercises to incorporate the changes introduced in Iceberg 1.10.0. For example, Snowflake’s support for catalog-linked databases to external catalogs makes earlier object integration recipes obsolete. ✅ Ecosystem validation – testing and refining recipes across Databricks, Snowflake, Dremio, and AWS to ensure seamless interoperability with Iceberg 1.10.0.
