Chris Wherry shared thisIf you missed my session at Appian World this year, you can now watch the recording at the link below. The topic was great and the customer stories (thanks Mona Samaha from Homepoint) were even better! As a bonus, you get me to see me "wing it" as there were a few technical bloopers - missing slides, clicker stopped working, etc. Invest 25 mins and let me know what you think! #appianworld https://lnkd.in/eP3YggKX

I had the privilege of building Appian's insurance vertical from the ground up, working alongside extraordinary technology leaders at CNA, Aon, Argo, Northwestern Mutual, Options Clearing Corporation, CME Group and others to transform how insurance and financial services companies operate. I take great pride of owning the first handshake to customer journey. Watching our customers win Celent and Insurance Nexus awards for solutions we built together remains the highlight of my career. I'm grateful for the mentors, teammates, and especially the customers who trusted me with their most important initiatives. The picture I have displayed is the enthusiasm shared for those thought impossible achievements. I'm now exploring what's next, particularly interested in how AI, enterprise platforms, and modern technology can continue transforming financial services and insurance. If you know of opportunities where deep insurance domain expertise, C-suite relationships, and a track record of building businesses from zero would be valuable, I'd love to connect. #opentowork #insurance #insurtech #enterprisesales #AI

Chris Wherry reacted on thisChris Wherry reacted on thisIf SKO 2026 wasn't indication enough to the type of year we're about to have (already having) the delay in sharing this post probably gives it away. Grateful, little stunned, to have kicked off the year with some incredible momentum: #3 Top Performing Global Account Executive Keith Ferguson Award for APJ Account Executive of the Year Global Executive Engagement Award Presidents Club Most excitingly, another main stage presentation alongside my incomparable partner in crime, Grace N. And home to being named a Finalist for the WIICTA Rising Star Award. Recognition is appreciated, retrospective. It's important to recognise sustained success at scale is never a solo sport. It’s built on partnership - the harmony of ambitious, courageous clients committing to leading a change agenda and an Appian team that operates with absolute precision and accountability - day in, day out. Now we switch the focus to this year, again, redefining the benchmark for enterprise impact. Bigger disruptions. More complex challenges. More room to create real impact. And hopefully more singing on stage with Naughto. Luke Thomas Kal Marshall Gordon Maddock Marc Wilson Mark Dorsey

I've been lucky to work with a great team on NavLabs Vero, our product vision & requirements AI agent. Diving deep into the engineering of an agentic AI solution has been an amazing experience. I'm grateful to the team at NavLabs, and to our customers there, for the collaboration and trust. I've now joined Camunda this week, as a Client Technology Officer. I'll be focused on: - Working with enterprise architects and C-level leaders to connect Camunda's process orchestration to concrete business outcomes. - Representing Camunda externally at events and with industry analysts, helping tell the story of where process orchestration is headed. - Enabling our pre-sales engineering team, helping drive deep technical conversations with a clear business lens. NavLabs has been a fantastic journey and I'm proud of what we built with Vero. At the same time, I'm very excited for the opportunity ahead at Camunda, and to help more organizations orchestrate their most critical processes. If you're working on complex workflows, modernization efforts, or just curious where process orchestration and AI are going, I'm always up for a conversation.

Chris Wherry reacted on thisChris Wherry reacted on thisNot many people know this, but going to Expo is a tradition in my family going back generations. My great-great-grandfather, Giuseppe Giovanni Pappalardo, attended one of the earliest Natural Products Expositions in Anaheim, back in the late 1880s (while #ExpoWest's current iteration is only turning 45 this year, similar formats go back over a century). At that time, the show was a collection of only a handful of "vendors" (aka farmers) promoting clean and organic protein, plant based foods and nutrient-rich products intended to improve wellness and mood. How times have changed. Over the years, Expo has played a pivotal role in our family’s history. My great-grandfather, Salvatore Pappalardo, met his wife while attending Expo. They married shortly thereafter and the names of all three of their daughters – Spirulina, Chlorella and Collagen – were inspired by the show. My great-uncle on my mother’s side, David Clif MacDonald, is unofficially credited with bringing the first protein bar to Expo when, in 1928, he took the trimmings from his family’s offal business, pressed them into cubes and wrapped them in parchment. Sold shelf-stable for consumer convenience, they sickened many and paved the way for the smarter, safer category we now know today. More recently, my father’s second cousin achieved her own fifteen minutes of Expo fame when, in 1977, she took five palettes of bootlegged Coors Banquet beer cans that had mistakenly been filled with water, and promoted them as a health-friendly, cooler alternative for those looking to stay hydrated in the wee hours. Coors quickly sued her, stopping the business in its tracks, but the seeds were planted for others’ future success. Through it all, Expo has brought my family and friends together, in good times for the industry and those more challenging, to appreciate where things have been and, just as importantly, where they’re going. We’ve endured downturns, instability, insect protein, tingling lip balms, Stevia and Expo Belly (in the early days more commonly referred to as ‘dysentary’) to celebrate just how good, clean, novel, strange and adventurous CPG can be. And while the circumstances of each Expo are different, what is constant is that there is no other event that brings nearly everybody in the industry to one place, even if just for a few days, to reconnect, recharge, and walk insanely long distances to evening social events. I can’t wait to get to Anaheim next week to continue the family tradition. See you there! #naturalproducts #legacy #tradition #cpgcommunity #thismaynotbetrue
