“Christian is a passionate designer, obsessed with typography, and carries with him a wealth of knowledge that belies his age. In his relatively short career, he’s amassed an enviable portfolio of projects across an even more elite set of clients. His skills are top-notch, concepts are thought out and well presented, and attitude is about as positive as can be. When we engaged Collins for a complete rebranding of DEFY in early 2017, Christian played the role of proxy between the two design teams. As such , we had the pleasure of hosting Christian for a series of weeklong sprints early during the design phases of the project. In twenty years of designing and directing, I’ve never seen a designer as prolific as Christian. This quality of his was put to good use, and was a huge part of how we were able to meet what many thought was an unrealistic deadline for our scope. He helped overturn every rock, looked at each concept forwards and backwards, and made sure to exhaust all of the options for each given concept and its execution before honing the final presentation-ready designs. Aside from Christian’s Pokemon lore, Norwegian candy education, and excitement about basically every subject he talks about, he gave so much to our team in such a short amount of time. We adjusted some of our processes, and are much better for the time Christian spent at DEFY. A couple of months later, with the project completing and Christian’s weeks-in-residence with us coming to an end, it felt as if we lost a team member. Christian’s unrelenting forward motion is going to serve him so well in his career, and it’s been a pleasure to have a seat near the front of the room to watch it unfold. Hope to get a chance to work together again sometime soon.”
