About the Board
The Board is composed of 14 members, 13 of whom are appointed by the Governor. The 14th member is the President of the Board of Agriculture and Consumer Services, who serves ex officio. In addition, there are five non-voting representatives to the board, representing A/P faculty, faculty, staff, graduate students and undergraduate students.

Presidential Search Committee to meet virtually on May 11

The committee will hold an initial organizational meeting on Monday, May 11, at 2 p.m. Because the search committee includes the members of the Virginia Tech Board of Visitors, the virtual meeting will be livestreamed for the public.

Faculty & Staff: Attend a listening session on Monday, May 11 at 4 p.m. in Latham Ballroom at The Inn at Virginia Tech. Meet the BOV Rector and faculty/staff representatives, share your input, and help shape the search for the university’s next president.

Students: Share your input on the next Virginia Tech President at a listening session on Reading Day, Thursday, May 7 at 6:30 p.m. in Newman Library, Room 101S. Meet BOV leaders and student reps, offer feedback, and grab a grilled cheese before heading back to finals prep.
