I am an assistant professor at the Department of Humanities, Faculty of Economics and Management, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU), with a research interest in local politics, particularly in small municipalities. My work focuses on the nature of local political systems and processes (types of local democracy and political culture), the format of local party systems (plurality and participation), the mechanisms of local party systems (the role of relationships in coalition negotiations, conflicts, and cleavages), and electoral systems (their effects on candidacy and voting behavior).
