Our goal is to create a means by which people remain attached to family, friends, and other people. Thus technology should be used for better life for people, not for driving people to adopt technology.

Founded in March 2001, SyncWorld is a leading company that offers an outdoor multiplayer game system that enables people to experience fictional stories in the real world, only with the mobile phone. The name of service SyncWorld is named after the idea “sync a world you want to be”. Beyond our system, people can play a role such as a spy of “Mission Impossible” or “007”, or a hero/heroine of a personalized monologue. We aim at people who want to explore familiar places, not artificial places such as amusement parks or video game consoles.

Subject: Redistribution of the higher education to rural areas in Japan by exploiting the latest information technology (satellite, online services)

Excess concentration of the higher educational organizations in the Tokyo Metropolitan area keeps the rural areas from the independent economic growth. Those who are aged between 18 and 30 have been decreased throughout Japan except the greater Tokyo area and the greater Osaka area, where 58 million people live. But the extensive use of the latest information technology such as the satellite communication and the commercial online service, young people do not have to move to the metro areas to receive higher education.
