Because It's the latest buzzword and hot topic that keeps companies relevant, like cloud, virtualization, and dot.com once did. Many of you, like me, have been around for each of these Breakthrough technologies and while I agree that AI is a breakthrough technology and a game changer, It still amazes me how many companies feel the need to include AI in their value proposition / messaging or as a feature / function to their products. How many traditional suppliers now offer "AI" as a feature rich product? Is it BS and just a marketing message to stay relevant? Do they have the same skill set and bench of smart people working for them like ChatGPT, GROK and Perplexity, who truly are game changers and leading the AI charge. What are traditional Infrastructure Suppliers and Distributors contributing to AI? I'm interested in hearing your thoughts and comments, especially with all the continual Layoff announcements of AI replacing White Collar Tech jobs. I saw the below chart and couldn’t help but wonder if the AI bubble pops, what will the repercussions be and what sort of ripple effects will the broader economy encounter? Tech stocks now make up 40% of the S&P 500’s total valuation, and Nvidia’s market cap is roughly 15% of U.S. GDP. I know market cap and revenue are different animals but when you combine these valuations and massive AI related spend with the MIT report claiming that 95% of all AI pilots have failed, it raises some serious questions about our economy. I am probably overly pessimistic having been through the dot.com bust, the great recession and the pandemic but it feels like we are watching another crash in real time. Anyone else concerned or am I overly paranoid that feels like Enron 2.0?

I’ve been talking about LinkedIn’s 360Brew algorithm for a while. This latest “next‑gen feed” update is basically the wiring that lets that AI brain run your home feed in real time. LinkedIn just published more detail on how your feed works now, and it’s very LLM‑driven. They’re using large language models to turn you and every post into embeddings, then running fast k‑nearest‑neighbor search to decide what you see when you open the app. Here’s where 360Brew shows up in that. - 360Brew is the AI foundation model that understands members, content, and relationships across the whole platform: feed, jobs, people, even ads. - The new feed system plugs into that by using those embeddings to retrieve and rank posts in milliseconds based on what you’ve actually interacted with over time. - Your “profile,” as far as 360Brew is concerned, is your behavior history. My best advice to them or anyone just starting their career is this: Choose work that matters to you. Don’t get hung up on the title, compensation, or the company you work for. Love the work. Be all in. Commit to mastery. Put in the time to learn, to improve, and figure things out. Be excited about the learning. We spend too much of our lives working for it to feel like a chore. Careers should be a source of excitement and inspiration. Something you look forward to every day because it matters. When you love the work, you make it matter. P.S. Originally from Arkansas, her work explores expanded approaches to painting through folded and dimensional forms. Her work has been presented at museums, universities, and galleries including The Painting Center (New York), Manifest Gallery (Cincinnati), and the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts. Lehr has been recognized by the National Museum of Women in the Arts. Her work moves between painting and sculpture, exploring how surfaces hold traces of time, memory, and touch. Folding operates as both process and way of thinking in her practice, shaping how materials are layered, altered, and reworked over time.
