Hot take for designers experimenting with AI + legacy systems: You don’t have to pick one AI tool and hope it integrates perfectly with your design archive. If you can get to the code, you can make it work. I’ve been testing different AI platforms for strategy and prototyping. What I realized: You can use any AI tool you’re comfortable with to think, prototype, and generate UI — as long as it outputs code. Then: 1. Copy the generated code 2. Paste it into Figma Make 3. Let Figma rebuild it using your UI/style library 4. Edit, refine, and share inside your real system That means: • Strategy can live anywhere • Prototyping can move fast • Your design system still governs the final output AI becomes a thinking partner. Figma stays the system of record. For teams sitting on years of legacy designs and wondering how to bridge that with AI experimentation — this is a practical path. #DesignSystems #AIforDesign #Figma #ProductDesign #DesignOps

For anyone with the time, watch the full video. As a design generalist who’s always sort of struggled with the rigidity of design thinking and the double-diamond in product design, this paradigm shift completely turns the process on its head. The reason for discovery was to understand the user, but the real business reason was to avoid wasting cycles on expensive engineering time. Now that we can send our engineers (and designers) off in all directions to execute at a low cost to the business, we can test and learn without the paralysis of making the wrong decision. Instead of working to avoid doing the wrong thing, we can do something more exciting as a team, we can release, learn and quickly move from a good thing to a better thing. #AI #MachineLearning #Anthropic #UX #Figma

Just watched Ryo Lu (Head of Design at Cursor) and Aaron from YC roast a few startup websites. Brutal but valuable. One key takeaway? Users need to know what you do in under 3 seconds. Don't bury your value prop under jargon, unclear visuals, and buzzwords. Simplicity and clarity are the design principles that matter most. Everything else is just noise.

Waymo says its remote assistance (Fleet Response) passed TÜV SÜD’s independent audit, aligning with AVSC best practices and ISO 15026-2.
